No more X Games moto x best trick?!

I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

Best trick is suicide. Good decision.

Yeah, but at the same time it really helps the innovation of the sport and, all the riders know and are aware of the risks prior to the event.

I've got mixed thoughts on this. Part of me says it sucks and that it will kill alot of the drive for innovation of new tricks and part of me says it was a good thing since tricks are becoming more and more deadly if you screw up. Maybe they should make some type of course with some different obstacles for this year then in place of it, like a small half pipe, table tops, just different options for cool transfers and stuff other than just 3-4 big jumps to launch off of.

Pretty soon all these extreme sports competitions are going to be done on simulators, who cares about risk factor? If someone has the balls to go out there and try it no one should stop them but themselves. As a community we need to protest these rulings or before we know it everything will be under the ban hammer

I think it's kinda stupid if it's about to risk factor. How big is the risk that you are in the car and some drunk moron ram you? It's pretty big. In FMX, the riders takes the risks themselve. If they don't want to take it they don't HAVE to do it.

I don't get how some of y'all don't respect FMX at all, but y'all jizz over baby ass whips. It's pathetic...

I can understand the decision though, just kind of sucks that it will put a small barrier on new tricks. On the good note, we won't have people who suck at riding get a medal because they can do ONE good trick. And I feel like there's much more skill to put a whole FMX run together on a big course. More entertaining to me aswell.

My question is, when will FMX progress more to funboxes, quarter pipes, rails, etc. I feel like that is what this sport needs.
