Whats your pc?

I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

That's what I went with. I'm on a 27" iMac at work and decided I need a similar screen at home. After messing around in games for about an hour, it's abundantly clear I've made the right decision.

It was pretty difficult to find 4K at 144hz over 32". I was willing to overpay for that too.

That's easy. ACER, ASUS or LG TV.

I'm graduating from a Samsung 40" 4K to the ROG 27" 144hz 4K. Tryna wrap the build up today.

Tiny bit of BLB in the top right but even in dark scenes you have to look for it, top right corner and bottom left have IPS glow but once again minimal enough I don't care. PC pushes it just fine, ~2.8G on memory usage on High details for most games so the 3GB 780's are just enough as I expected them to be. Haven't done anything to fancy with the monitor yet but I'm interested in trying to OC the panel and see what happens there.

It got to me mid day yesterday but wasn't supposed to come in until today so in my unexpected excitement I forgot to get an updated before/after but just know its better now.
RIP sweet prince. The backlight went out, screen signal still works but no power.

Unfortunately, the prices of ultrawides have gone back to the prices of when I bought this in 2015.

Been reading about it and I really can't find out what the mining is actually doing... What are the blocks that are found? Are they anything actually useful or is all of this just to earn money? I'd rather do something like folding at home which actually calculates useful information from you...
With the recent crypto news of 100k thought I'd revisit this. Not sure if you two have nightmares about this or not but I know every time I hear my morning alarm for work this is all I can think about lmao

No one can predict the future. There's a million things you could have bought ten years ago that would have made you a fortune now.

I tell myself that, even if I did it, there is no way I would have held through all this time but it doesn't make me feel that much better.

I already made it big on crypto dude. Sold my Radeon 6950 for $50 more than I paid for it in 2013. Win!

You still have me beat. I sold the computer to a friend for $400 and he never paid me!

Well, that's just a testament to the kind of stand up guy you are.

Since you resurrected this thread I thought I would share what I'm working with these days. I finally built myself the PC and desk setup I always wanted! I didn't edit the dust out of my photos because I'm an honest man, but I did use Lightroom to denoise them because let's be real.

Ikea drawers/countertop desk • SecretLab chair
Ryzen 7 5800X • RTX 3070 • 32GB RAM • Lots of SSDs! PCPartpicker list

Also, if anyone wants to go deep on custom mechanical keyboards, let's go, I'm ready.

This is a dream setup for me, love those Joy Cons too, was looking at similar colors last night since I need new ones.
