Re: New MX vs. ATV Reflex Preview
So they spent resources to make the riders boots move when he shifts, but don't bother making a bike or rider that ride realistically?
That's exactly why I expect this game to be the same pile of steaming crap that all their games since mcm2 have been.

AHHHH!!!! The first scene of kx450 number 88, he does that stupid 50 mph sideways down the straight thing that drove me crazy in untamed!
Re: New MX vs. ATV Reflex Preview
I really didn't see it as that bad...
Re: New MX vs. ATV Reflex Preview

Re: New MX vs. ATV Reflex Preview
I am pretty sure the reason the movement sucks so bad is because they are trying to make it realistic and easy, they don't want a ten year old playing five minutes, telling every one it sucks cause he can't go straight. They go Arcade because the bike comes back and you can't fall unless you over jump or run into stuff. Basically we must come to the conclusion that MXS and MvA games are in a separate category!?

MXS is the way to go... the physics are perfect.. but it really does need to be a little easier to play.. there would probably be 3 times the players if you could not crash as easy.. after all this is a game.. and a real bike is easier to ride then this game..

Actually I did too. It's helped a lot with reflexes, line choice, and just general dirtcycling.

there would also be three times the noobs trying to be freestyle gods that dont understand anything about bikes and play this game and then if there lucky get a real bike and think there superman and kill themselves you happy the game is easier

I understand why you guys are worried, and no matter how much we try and convince you otherwise; you'll still wonder until you get the controller in your own hands. EVERYTHING will still get a polish pass, and the in air control is something we've been working on hard to make sure we get it right.
The playing you were seeing in the background would be a person picking up the game playing for the first time and still getting used to using the Rider Reflex control scheme. Once you get a handle on things you learn to start using the right stick to lean into the corners, catch ruts, and style through the air. The player you were seeing appeared to rarely use the right stick within the game.
Thanks for the feedback, and we'll continue plugging away to release the best, most solid, most fun racing game to date. It is always a goal to appeal to and please the MX community as much as possible, but keeping the game fun and accessible is also a goal. There is a load of depth, learning, and practicing required to master this game and put down consistent fast laps. To this day I'm still learning new ways to use my rider weight to lower my lap times and get through sections faster.
