Re: MXS Twitter
There was a Nascar Nationwide season review thing on tv yesterday for like 7 hours and it just went through and showed cut down versions of every race from 2012. I've never properly watched Nascar before and it's not on tv very often over here so I ended up watching most of it. As much as it pains me to say it, I actually really enjoyed watching it. There were loads of good battles and the racing was so close and intense. I'm not sure what the full length races would be like to watch but I'm probably going to try and catch a few of them on the internet this year.

The short tracks are the best for really constant intense racing. Like Dover, Bristol (my favorite), Martinsville, and Richmond.

Damn i wanna go to Bristol and Martinsville. Ive been to Dover. Pocono's, and Daytona. Daytona was only cool cause the experience the racing was good but where I sat you needed Binocluors to see the other side of the track same with Pocono. Im more in to Dirt Tracking, like 410 Sprinters and late models. This is my shit here. If you look hard enough you can see me lol. Im at this track every friday night for some good partying and some great racing.

I'm not sure if it was you, but I know I've told many people that AMD = Crap. Sorry about your troubles, should have went the Intel/nVidia route.m121c wrote:Piece of shit AMD. Done with it.

It probably isn't your card then. Could be anything. I haven't had a single problem with my system, and it's all AMD.m121c wrote:I give the fuck up. RMA'd my graphics card and I have only had my computer for a weekend, and IT JUST FUCKING CRASHED AGAIN!!!!!

AMD is pretty bad as far as CPUs go, but their cards are very good if you're on a budget. Also, their not made by AMD, but rather ATI, AMD just bought them out and threw their name on it. Dont get me wrong though, nVidia's are great cards, they're just a little pricy.Phathry25 wrote:I'm not sure if it was you, but I know I've told many people that AMD = Crap. We were trying to troubleshoot it and I kept saying it was either his Mobo, CPU or RAM... So he went and RMA'd his card.KTM57 wrote:[img]Ballsfalsky wrote:It probably isn't your card then.
Re: MXS Twitter
That's what I think also I was rage typing there, but the reason I went with AMD was because they are supposed to be better for 3d modeling and rendering.
Re: MXS Twitter
I wasn't implying I thought ATI and AMD were one in the same. I was able to come to the conclusion that Mason had built an AMD/ATi rig based on his comments, thus why I mentioned Intel and nVidia in my comment.Klutch wrote:AMD is pretty bad as far as CPUs go, but their cards are very good if you're on a budget. Re: MXS Twitter
AMD doesn't make bad hardware, but the drivers and software side of things don't seem to be as good as Nvidia's.
Before anyone takes m121c's last comment wrong, the latest gen (Nvidia 6xx vs AMD 7xxx) has better compute performance over Nvidia: http://www.anandtech.com/show/5699/nvid ... -review/17. It's not always that case
. Hopefully GK110 will fix that (GK104 is this gen).
Oh, and I don't know if this is a misconception or what, but you don't have to use AMD with ATI and Intel with Nvidia (and you don't get worse performance out of either if you do; withholding bottlenecks for certain situations). You usually just see them paired together because they are usually in the same budget range (AMD usually less than Intel, ATI usually less than Nvidia).

My roommate loves to say "buy it nice or buy it twice." It would seem it applies in Mason's situation.
