And here's me on one of Paris' tallest buildings, Tour Montparnasse (210m/689feet tall, 56 floors, and an elevator wich brings you to the top of the building in 38 seconds:p)

I just went to my friends house and we went on this dirt road, I haven't ridden since march and I really wanted to feel the bike again so I just went out on that stuff, that was pretty dumb of me though, but I never look like that when I actually go to ride, I make sure I'm suited up and so I don't look like a BRO, hahah!
Shorts, no boots, no goggles, at least you have a helmet I guess.
I usually rock no shirt, chest protector, basketball shorts, fly boots and helmet in the summer, it's too fucking hot. In the spring and fall I break out my gear though. Honestly, a jersey and pants offer almost no protection to roadrash, pants do have a bit of padding though. Without a jersey or with a jersey and you fall hard enough to break the skin it won't make a difference and personally I'll take comfort over a minimal amount of protection.
I used to think that back when I was seven years old and a total n00b to riding. Now I know that's what vented gear is for. I ride in 100+ temps in the humid midwest (heat indexes 110+ sometimes) and my Troy Lee GP Air gear is much cooler than a t-shirt and shorts. And a thin layer of clothing between you and the ground in a crash is better than no layer of clothing. Not to mention wearing shorts, you are risking burning the dog shit out of your leg if it touches your exhaust.
ATTGATT: All The Gear All The Time. The only time I don't wear all my gear is when we're using our bikes move cattle, which rarely requires anything faster than first gear.
