2014 AMA Supercross Discussion

I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

No mini. You're missing the point. You're clearly blinded by your love for RV here. He's also not doing himself any favors by making contact or brake checking with every pass he makes.

LOL I only said he didn't do anything wrong when Dungey put him down. I never said he was in the right to bump with Stewart either. Shut up.

That's even more impressive to me than Anderson cutting it from 10 to 3 seconds, and oh yeah, Anderson doubled the triple on red cross flag during that time that probably cut off 3-4 seconds. Still a great charge, but Cole kept the lead around the same length the entire race.
Don't get too excited. All it would have taken was a better start from Anderson so he didn't have to deal with traffic (and better eyes for the red cross flags) and your bum buddy would have been playing second fiddle again.

Okay Mr. "I Hate Hondas"

If Hill hadn't slid out in the first turn, then we wouldn't be reading your posts right now.

Seely killed it! And the guy isn't "lucky" because Anderson had a bad start, starts are part of motocross so if all you Seely haters wanted to see Anderson on top of that box he should've got a better start!

BTW Seely led 98% of all laps ridden so he didn't won because of luck he won because of SKILL.

And I don't see anyone here saying Reed won because of luck 'cause Dungey and Villopoto both crashed...... (not hating on Reed tho he did an amazing job)

Anyone who thinks Anderson "has this championship in the bag" doesn't know what they're talking about. I'm a big Cole fan since I know the dude and want to see him do well, but it's dead even. Anderson can do the little brake tap rev it whip it thing and look cool, but racing comes down to lap times, and they're pretty much dead even. Cole is sick right now, how good will he be at 100% and feeling strong?

Really guys? I don't buy the whole "Cole Seely is sick" BS. He looked just damn fine on the podium last night to me. The fact is Anderson beat him straight up the past 2 races and likely would have at this one if he hadn't gotten a shitty ass start. I just don't buy it.

Do people here hate seeley because of the dderpis relation? Or is it just the age gap that makes them favor Anderson?

I'm a Seely fan because he's come so far and is exceeding what people expected him to be capable of. I'm less of an Anderson fan because he is finally starting to meet the expectations people set for him.

I remember Seely did pretty alright in 2011, then kind of fell back. So I have to agree, Phat, he's come a long way. That takes a lot.

I actually asked the same thing haha

I agree. Before 2010, Cole Seely was a nobody. Even a couple of years ago, I don't think anybody expected him to be a championship contender. Its pretty cool to see just how far a guy like him has come in this sport.

But Seely definitely played his cards right in the main. He did what he needed to do; he got a good start, put a gap on Anderson early and rode a smooth main event to take the W. Anderson did not get a good start and did not counter Seely's gap. However, aside from the red cross penalty, Anderson played it smart and rode smooth to get valuable points. Like LinkinMark said, if Anderson wanted to win, he should have gotten a better start. Seely didn't win that main event by luck, he won that by skill. You can't luck into a win but you can sure as hell luck out of one.
