Let's list some things.
- There are rumours that the MX1 and MX2 will ride at least 1 moto together in GP's like, Thailand, Qatar, Mexico and Brazil. Youthstream probarly realizes that motos with only 15-20 guys at the gate are gay. But I think there are other ways to have full gates. Like qualifying/prize money.
- The green fences aren't required anymore. Still bad news for Barcia, because big plastic fences/advertising is still allowed. It's good news for Tommy Searle though, who has very bad experiences with those green fishnets.
- The tracks can now have an average speed of 65 km/h. Wich is 10 km/h faster then now. This is great news, because a lot of the tracks got raped by idiotic jumps that were designed to make the track slower.
- Riders can't water there startline anymore. I don't think anybody did that, but well...
- Yellow flag waving means no more jumping and overtaking. And something new in the GP's, a red cross flag. Everybody have to roll over the jumps and ride significantly slower then they normally do.
- The most important rule of all. No more age limit for the MX2 at the mxdn WWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHOOOOOO
- There are a lot of support classes. EMX2, EMX125, EMX150, MX3, WMX. And at the festival of motocross in Matterley Basin 25th of August all of these classes will attend+ EMX85 and EMX65. Apperently they didn't changed the British GP to Hawkstone Park.
Some numbers/facts:
- The riders will travel 1,5 time around the earth if they move from GP to GP.
- There will be 18 GP's in 15 different countries, 2GP's are still TBA.
- The only country with 2GP's is the homecountry of the promoter Youthstream ... Italy.
- 4 of these GP's are outside of Europe.
- There will a ton of talent in the MX1 class. Cairoli, Desalle, De Dycker, Nagl, Bobryshev, Searle, Van Horebeek, Roelants, Concalves, Frossard, Paulin, Philippaerts, Strijbos ... Good starts will be superimportant. Because charging trough a pack like this on a regular GP track won't be that easy. Not even for Tony.
- There will be 7 Belgians full time in the MX1 class. Desalle, De Dycker, Strijbos, Van Horebeek, Roelants (all on a factory bike if I'm not mistaken) and privateers Getteman (LS Honda) and Vandueren (Scott ktm). But still there is not even 1 Belgian TV Channel who's even considering buying the tv rights...
