Actually it is a great idea. It would remove all of the slow lappers from the heat race!

These are just basic ideas, and can all be tweaked or adjusted.

In my opinion, there should be some kind of qualification for the heats races. Just like in real life, not everyone makes it into the heats, you have to qualify.

We Could have qualifying groups of ten riders (with collisions turned off) A, B, C ect. Depending on how many riders are present.

Each group gets 5-10 minutes to set their best lap (or you could do total race times) in order to qualify for a spot in the heat race.

Top 20 riders go to the heats, top 5 from those 2 heats go to main, rest to lcq, take top 2 from lcq, and you have your main event.

It sucks having to sit through four heats where only the top two make it to the main. You get some Jackass that takes you out at the start and your screwed.

Just cut out the practices between races, riders don't get to practice between races in real life, why should we? Running the full amount of laps might add 20 minutes to the total time, but practicing a full race doubles it. Running full laps with no practice will save time.

:?:

Goons and lappers are apart of Supercross, not sure about most of you but the best part about real supercross is daytime qualifying and watching everyone develop lines and speed and learn the track. i dont really care about the night shows hah.

I think there should be a 30 minute qualifying session where the top 20 times get put into two heats. Top five from each heat go to the main, rest go to LCQ.

Then you take top 2 from the LCQ, resulting in a 12 rider main event.

That way there would only be two heats to organize, all the riders would be somewhat equal in speed, and all the goons would get weeded out before causing carnage in the heat races.
How would the qualifying session work? Remember I can't just throw 35 riders out there at the same time.

I don't think the system can get any simpler than you already have it now...I think it is great cause everyone can have a race, not just the "gods" lol

I think that last week was the best yet with the seeded heats, and I think the racing has been close. Everyone runs the same system, so it's not like any one person has an advantage, racing is tough, and you may not ALWAYS make the main.

If we change the rules too much, to where the fast guys have more chances to get in....then might as well just have those guys show up and race the main, sounds very predictable and therefore not fun.

I was going CRAZY watching the round 2 heat where mittocs didn't make the main event! that was crazy!!! most of the excitement found in watching/racing this series, is not knowing who will make it and who won't, and who may win.

If you are in the server before heat 1, then JLV will place you in a heat, and you just wait unti you are placed in a race.
