Arcade Physics SX Series.

Post by Cory976 »

I'm still fairly new to the game and was wondering if there is an online SX or MX series to use with Arcade Physics? Seems like most of the rules for the racing series require you to play without arcade physics, and I've been practicing alot with out it on, but I still suck. Is it just a permanent rule that if you do a series, You HAVE TO race without it on, or is there someone that can make a "Arcade Physics" series? Thanks. Any help is greatly appreciated. :)

I wouldn't have anything against it. The main problem would be finding enough riders for a decent gate.

I would think with all the posts about people getting frustrated and have a hard time learning without Arcade Physics (me included), that that would'nt be much of a problem.

Any chance we can take poll to see who would be interested in joining in? I just did'nt want to start a new thread on one. Thank You.

Even though learning to play this is tough and it takes a lot of practice, it is after all a simulator. I think using arcade mode as a crutch for too long of a time can lengthen the amount of time it takes to get a "feel" for the physics of the game. It takes weeks to learn to ride without falling much, and it takes months to learn how to go fast without falling much. It can be very frustrating but if you challenge yourself and practice getting good, you will get better. I think having a "arcade physics" SX series would be bad for the learning curve. You have a goal to acheive, learn to ride decent without arcade mode and come ride with the rest of us. You don't want to be champion of "Arcade SX" anyway, unless you like to be poked fun at.

Actually, not trying to be a smart-ass here but my brother always rode with Arcade physics on for like 6months, until I made him use Sim physics, and he picked up ultra quick. Not sure if it was using Arcade Mode helped him, He was a natural, Or I am just one kick-ass teacher. Should start up my own MXS Riding schools... lol.

If you turn off the arcade physics and turn up your stability, you'll find it a good compromise. Just turn down the stability as you feel more confident/bored.

It's very very hard for me to find the time to sit down for a few hours each night to "learn" to race in Sim mode. I have a 2 year old, and my wife would kill me if I spent too much time just trying to learn in that mode. I can race a series once a week if I plan to put an hour or three aside for it, but just not every day or two for 3-4 hours.

I'm hoping to start a poll to see if people would be interested. I'm hoping to see if someone can let us use a server, and may'be race the 2011 SX series. I understand you Pro racers on here, but if your apposed to it, simply don't join in. But I appreciate your two cents, and I understand where your coming from.

Spamming my new race!

It's not arcade mode, but it does have a beginner class with people more of your skill level, come out and see how you do, the more entries for C class I get the more likely I'll continue to run a class system
