Naa, EMF will happen, we're making a MXGP series to run. We could have used this too, but before this was even discusses a few months ago, we'd decided upon a MXGP seriessol721 wrote:Will emf not happen then?

At least you guys release the track at the same time so anyone can have fun on it even seems fair for people like me who cant afford to race but can jam the track and not wait each month for it

Re: 2016 rF Gaming Pro and Amateur Nationals
I was thinking maybe you guys could host a free series on the older national tracks or tracks that have been released already. This could be good for beginner the riders who want to compete, but don't want to spend $25 to see if they will make it or not because they have never raced competitively before. A free series on older tracks or already released tracks won't involve creating tracks, so the workload for the rF crew would be much less. This could be a solution to the guys who either can't afford to race the outdoor series, or riders who want to get into racing but the fee keeps them away. The series could be open to anybody including guys that are paying for the outdoor series and they would have two series to run, meaning more organized races for them to compete in which is always a bonus. Just an idea that I thought I would bring up that could make both sides happy.

Good luck with the series, won't be running it as I can't race only a few if not less, due to my work schedule. I'm not paying $25 for one series(over half the price of the game), for which I may get to race 2 or 3 rounds, max.

There are plenty of other teams or individuals who have run series that include exactly what you're asking for. There will be another DM series soon [for example] that consists of entirely MX tracks.MotoxMarcus wrote:I was thinking maybe you guys could host a free series on the older national tracks or tracks that have been released already. It's pretty clear the intentions of rF and this series, so you're better off either dealing with it or looking to the alternatives.

Re: 2016 rF Gaming Pro and Amateur Nationals
Everyone involved in RF has donated their time for years for very minimal donations. How is that fair? If you really want it to be fair then you would realize $25 is a great deal and if you don't have the money you still get the tracks after waiting a month.dombeal57 wrote:At least you guys release the track at the same time so anyone can have fun on it even seems fair for people like me who cant afford to race but can jam the track and not wait each month for it
Just as an example. For banners and shadows and miscellaneous stuff I will probably average 2-3 hours per track. 2.5x12=30 hours and that assumes that I don't make anything new or help with anything else. At the same time I have a day job, I render for real clients that pay me real money on nights and weekends, and I have a personal life.
I am not an exception. Everyone involved at RF has donated their time very graciously for a long time. We aren't making enough money off this to even consider it greedy, its just a little incentive to keep proving fun stuff for the community.
How is that for fair?

Do you have anything against us putting the tracks up in our personal servers for our teammates to practice for the race?

Re: 2016 rF Gaming Pro and Amateur Nationals
I've noticed the $25 is ONLY for one motocross season. "Memberships will be granted to racers who donate a one time donation of $25 to rF Gaming for the entire 2016 motocross season." So.. Uhhh.. What about Supercross next year, straight rhythm and Monster Cup? I believe last year Straight Rhythm and Monster Cup was $10 each. If Outdoors is $25 for a season, it seems likely that next year Supercross will be around that price as well. That's up to $70 a year if you count everything in. Also, who knows what EMF decide to do for MXGP's, MXON and European SX races (Bercy, Geneva, etc..), If all goes well for pay to race in Outdoors, i don't see why EMF wouldn't at least try it for their races sometime the future.
Is it possible for a yearly rF pass or something for $35-$45? I think most complaining here would be fine with that and it would save you guys time since you said "What this means is, last night I took my first pass through memberships, building a spreadsheet and confirming payment along with details were correct. This took 2 and a half hours, and I haven't activated a single one on the rF site yet."

Sent my donation. Thank you rf for deciding to go this way rather than nothing. We all know this is the best place to race and looking forward to it. Thanks again and have a wonderful day
