Yeah dude, sure there's people that can run the speed but they do not have the brains nor the experience to race in the Pro class and they do it anyways. I know there wasn't an Am class back when I first started racing so I was "THAT GUY", but I wish there was an am class for me to race in back then! Honestly the Amateur class should be implemented and you need to achieve a certain amount of points or a certain result in order to be eligible for the pro class.
Here is my opinion..
I am of belief that the Pro classes would benefit from having 'faster' AM classes. Just because you can run a lap time doesn't mean you are ready for the pro class. It seems too many people emphasize on a lap time in qualifying vs consistency in the race. The top riders in both Pro classes aren't just hot lappers, they can step it down a second or two and run that lap consistently throughout the race. I see there are people who will qualify in the top end of the field but not be within five seconds of there qualifying time in the moto's or be consistent lap to lap... I don't think people should feel ashamed to be racing the AM class if it would give them a better chance of finishing higher along with gaining experience of riding around other riders and making smart decisions on the track to become a better racer. Just this past week I was trying to be a good lapper and let a leader by that was getting close and I had another rider who was 'battling' me for position send it in front of me ruining themselves and forcing the leader to have to jump ruts to not hit them.. Not smart. Hopefully over time things can evolve classes wise and have more classes for people to race along with being able to get people closer in skill racing together. IRacing is a good example of this where it takes speed and a clean race record to get into the top end racing.

So you would like to race agaisnt goons instead of real pros? Then go to ams, nice logic dude.
You can also tell the guy on your team named James Schuler than he should stop trying to protect Volcom riders when there is a battle (if im not wrong) with one of them while we are lapping him, that was pretty sad.
idk where you got that out of what i said but okay haha
and none of us are even in teamspeak when we are racing, its not like we are working together haha were all just racin homie. i dont think it was intentional

Honestly i think this is spot on! I almost feel like the open class should be the place that people are learning and gaining experience, nothing serious, no prizes on the line. Then ams should be a collection of people who have the speed, but lack the racing experience as well as the consistency to battle week in and week out with the pros without having to push beyond their comfort zone. And then pros would be the people with the speed AND consistency to battle cleanly throughout the championship.

All good buddy
Devin i like your idea of having a certain amount of points to be in the pro class, REALLY good results in the ams classes to be able to make the switch to pro would be something good too.

Its when they can sit in a server everyday after school until its there bed time not all are like that but some guys really just get one okay lap and think they can race pros.
After being taken down on the start in M1 when I had it, and crashing again in the start in M2, I'm fairly happy with my consistency and the fact that I got points on both motos. I just wish I had better time control, I remember in M2, we still had a lap to go, and I checked up to let the leader pass me, then on the next corner Stralo did the same and he couldn't get a good momentum out of the corner, so I waited and didn't try the pass because I knew we still had another lap. Turns out I didn't 'remember' that when the leader passed us, it turned into the last lap and we finished the race 2 corners after that
When, in the entire history of this game, has a race been held and people didn't complain about others racing like idiots afterwards? Put whatever system you want into place, but generating a pool of racers with not a single person messing up someone elses race isn't going to happen - whether they actually did it, or the other person just wants to believe it.
I'm racing Open just to try to get faster. I can't quite make motos yet, and I know I'm not fast enough to compete either. I do have an A license, just for that reason. I'd rather race Open until I'm consistent enough for Pro, than try to hot lap into pro, and kill everyone.
I'm still an Am, tbh, but just because I wreck for lack of a good setup.
True. Even if we had a minimum requirement to turn pro, kids wouldn't turn pro when they feel as if they are ready, they'd move up immediately and get destroyed.
