2016 rF Gaming Pro and Amateur Nationals
Re: 2016 rF Gaming Pro and Amateur Nationals
I feel like they are making the tracks more rough just to rub it in lol. I have enjoyed the tracks so far. The roughness is a bitch, but everyone has to deal with it.

Struggled
with the track at first but once I found the flow I started liking it. Tracks have been great this year imo

Well i would definitely say this is an improvement over last weeks, it seems the bumps are a tad smaller and more peaked, and the shading for the ruts has been improved over glen helen in my opinion (though i do think the highlights this week are too bright). Though all of the changes might not work perfectly the first time, i think they are trying to deliver a great, realistic racing experience, and hopefully with time things will get better.TH_722 wrote:The thing is though we all gave constructive criticism about how the gigantic bumps and ruts were neither rideable nor realistic and then they feel the need to make the track in the exact same style. I don't see how now we are paying for a premium racing experience when it is no better (and imo worse) than years prior.Ezra wrote:This isnt a dig at the rf crew in the slightest, as even though i might not agree with all the styling all the time, these tracks are really high quality, professional tracks, and at less than $2.50 per track, wouldnt even think to comolain, at least withiut providing some real, constructive input as to how things could possibly be made better.
Not to sound like a dick, but your attitude is certain to only make things worse...Why don't you take a little time to try to create some different styles of ruts or bumps, that could provide more lifelike racing, and that also ride better, and then shoot the track over to one of the rF guys. Im sure if you, or anyone put in the time to create an example of something that they felt was better, it wouldn't be blatantly ignored. They might not agree enough to implement the suggestion, but they're good guys, and from my experience are very open to good feedback!

Sorry for the dp but you also need to remember that the input we gave last week regarding Thunder Valley would be difficult to implement on the immediately following track, given most of it minus decals etc was complete PRIOR to the release of thunder valley. Hoping some of the sections regarding the bumps and ruts are taken into consideration for the unmade tracks however. Please don't shoot me for saying this anyone, but i think this year's valkenswaard is a great example of how a new track (2016) can be made and deliver an awesome balance of racing, difficulty, and overall feel. I think it could really benefit some of the track makers to turn a lap or two on there and just see how it feels(or some of the old GP's for that matter). Nothing wrong with getting some ideas from something that is well liked.
The last point i really want to make is i don't feel like some of the bugs with the tracks are from a lack of effort. Clearly a lot of time goes into these tracks, however expecting perfection right off the bat can be a bit much. With the introduction of the new dyno's, as well as the overall increase in speed and skill in the game, the track makers experience the same learning curve we do trying to keep up with it all.

Yeah, the contrast on the overlay on this one was a bit over the top.

New track is definitely a step in the right direction. Like others mentioned, some rough gets peaky but that's about the only gripe with it.
