First off, anyone listen to the PulpMX show and see a resemblance to Tony Alessi?Ddavis wrote:being released last minute.
Now that is out of the way. It's a really bummer rF is going downhill. Looks like they are going bankrupt and losing all their customers. Hell, Gio isn't even a "part" of the rF organization, but he's responsible for their downfall for donating his time to make THREE rounds of the AMA Nationals for the series.
Here's a fun fact (in my best Eurotrip voice): A company recently has been talking to me about making tracks for their video game. If I was to quote them for a national track, I would ask for 4-6 grand per track. So, Gio just gave the community $4000+ and you're bitching?
You know what is a shame, you have done some cool stuff and could've completely rebuilt your image by now, but comments like this all over the internet for years have completely ruined any credibility you have, so no one cares too much about your opinion.
Thanks for an awesome track Gio. I really enjoy it and think the racing will be really close and a lot of fun. The insides I thought were pretty dominant lines, but then I did discover some trick outsides that were pretty fast and flowy.

So the shading isn't updated? I can upload one with updated shading after my download finishes. I know that rF doesn't like to update the track once it's out because it can cause confusion, but I think that the shading not being right should be good enough to have to confuse everyone.

Whoa. That makes sense when you consider the amount of time that goes into building a good track.checkerz wrote:Here's a fun fact (in my best Eurotrip voice): A company recently has been talking to me about making tracks for their video game. I like the outside lines, and the addition of the rollers in the back section.

Shading was all bueno for me. I really like everything that Gio did. All the ruts are awesome and fun and all the bumps are visible and good. Superb job!
Re: 2013 Race Factory Gaming Nationals
I tried uploading the file that I downloaded to see if it would help people download it quicker. It uploaded super quick so I don't know if it's all good or not.
I downloaded it and it worked though, so I think it's good.

and i keep wondering why they are still asking to an incompetent like me for tracks instead of relying to a super skilled professional like you..Ddavis wrote:And Chris is here to use that line for the millionth time. Am I doing something wrong or does it really take an hour to DL this file?

if you are having a trouble with invisible ruts or whatever, go in to the editor > zoom all the way out > put the strength on -5 > put the radius of your brush on max > then click on the track once so that you SMOOTH the whole track. now these invisible ruts should have some shadows and not be so invisible. hope that helps

you wont be able to connect to the server if you do this. If you want to update the shading you need to leave it on raise tool and change the sub mode to lower only and then paint over the entire track.MX181 wrote:if you are having a trouble with invisible ruts or whatever, go in to the editor > zoom all the way out > put the strength on -5 > put the radius of your brush on max > then click on the track once so that you SMOOTH the whole track. now these invisible ruts should have some shadows and not be so invisible. hope that helps
