Its starting to lean that way, I would understand if they waited a week to release for free but a month is a lil much I doubt I will even download it for free unless there is another race on it cause thats really the only time it will be used.Ddavis wrote: You are not paying to play MX Simulator.
You are so graceful with your words, I fucking love it.Sweendoggy wrote:Haha, some over your prizes never got delivered to me, some are in boxes with addresses ready to be dropped off a payed for at USPS, I have a race tech package I've never opened, it's all in a closet somewhere at my house... I think I have a butt load of gift cards somewhere too. I lost interest in being the "prize manager". Prizes are a nightmare, you couldn't pay me enough to manage that!
Also, thanks Darr, glad to have a supporter still!
Also, for you kids out there, I started rF, ran the majority of it during its heyday (2012), became less and less involved because of life, and eventually got boxed out from contributing. I learned about the pay to play on the forums, and promptly closed all my rF related accounts. Prior to rF, aside from JLV, I think I paved the way for hosting as you see it today.
If rF could make enough profit to actually make a dent in the amount of time they had available to put into the game (hire employees, quit their jobs, switch to part time work) I would be excited about the future. However, they are making this game more exclusive than before (reducing their reach) and they might get $1000 a piece when it's done...call it $2000 for the year... That isn't a lot of money, and if they are ready to quit now, they will still be ready to quit in the near future.
Oh well though, it sounds like a lot of people like the idea, so maybe I'm wrong. Guess we will have to wait and see, but I will be the first one to say I told you so when this shit turns sour, and I'll shed some tears when my baby, rF, dies.

Re: 2016 rF Gaming Pro and Amateur Nationals
Totally agree with all of this quoted above. I really suck at this game still and it will be awhile yet before I am at the level to compete in the races. I have a ton of respect for those guys racing the rF series and the dudes behind the scenes running the show, creating the tracks and bikes etc. Even though I'm terrible at the game I still enjoy playing the real tracks on my own with the time trial and will gladly pay $25 to have them. I play the tracks during the week that the AMA pro's are racing on the weekends and it actually makes watching the races that much more enjoyable because you are more familiar with the tracks. That being said, it makes the game all the more enjoyable when a track comes up that you're familiar and have experienced in person.m121c wrote:Processing time is up to 7 days. However, Chris as stated earlier in this 10 pages of whining and stupid questions that you will processed within the next 24 hours.zg290 wrote:I sent mine in last night, so about when will I get the track link? Thanks
There doesn't "need" to be anything, I can assure you they are trying to provide as much as they possibly make happen. I'm sorry, but if you aren't good enough to qualify that is more of a you problem, should probably get better or not race then if you can't warrant up $25 for 12 sick tracks and the chance to qualify for the racing. I haven't raced in a long while, nor will I in the future, but I'm probably going to buy a membership just so I can ride with my buddies when the tracks come out and possibly race a time or 2. Seems worth it to me..Funk wrote:There needs to be 3 classes if you are going to charge to be in the series.
Pro- Top riders
A Class - Riders who could possibly qualify for Pro but don't have the consistency yet.
B + C class- TRUE B and C riders who can have some decent competition ( instead of getting destroyed by A class sandbaggers )
I'm not a terrible rider but I'm still C class I'd say possibly B on some tracks. But there are just too many riders in Amateur who are really A Class riders which makes it very tough to even qualify for a race.
Would love to be a part of this and have no problem contributing funds for all the hard work. I just want to get to ride if I'm going to pay.
It costs $250 to sign up for a pro national. Every weekend about 40-80 riders in each class do not qualify, and to let in on a secret, the AMA don't give a shit! They don't do a "sorry you failed to qualify" race because they paid their money and they deserve to race. "I went out for soccer, I don't care that we lost I deserve a god damn trophy Susan you heartless bitch, I tried!"
This participation generation shit is getting old. It's not "all kids must play" rules in real life just a FYI.
Question though, and I apologize if this has been answered already. When I purchase the membership but don't want to race will I still be able to ride on the tracks with time trial? Let me know please, thanks.

Serious question. Aside from all the crying from both sides of this whole siesta of activity.... Why wait a month to release for free? The only time majority of people play these tracks are for the races themselves. I personally never played a track again once I try harder it before the race. So why not release the used track the day that the new one is released to paying members? Seems like it is fair to the people who pay for the racing and to the people who simply cant justify the cost. You still get the same dollar amount in the end, a happier community, and maybe even more future sign ups. By the time someone waits the month to play the first round, it won't be justifiable to spend the $25 if they decide they want to race cause they missed X number of rounds already. But if it's a week later, and people change their mind, you could potentially create more profit for yourselves.
But please keep the crying going. I enjoy it.

Right... you lost interest. Perfectly good reasoning for having hundreds in prizes and bailing on what was your role.. lost interest is perfectly good reasoning though. Really installs confidence in your "BooWap Gaming".Sweendoggy wrote:Haha, some over your prizes never got delivered to me, some are in boxes with addresses ready to be dropped off a payed for at USPS, I have a race tech package I've never opened, it's all in a closet somewhere at my house... I do think you are taking a little too much credit for the success of rF, there is a team of people that have helped, some of which are from the start and still contributing. Some can argue that some of these team members have done a lot more than yourself, and they have with out of doubt made it what it is. I just feel you are discrediting and shitting on those members and that's not fair to them. It was a team effort, be proud, but stay humble is my 2 cents.
I've known about this happening forever so I'm really not understanding where you are coming from with finding about this on the forum? After all, you are still apart of the rF forum so that kind of confuses me too.
Ah well you have your view and I have mine, to each their own, good luck with your BooWap gaming.

Re: 2016 rF Gaming Pro and Amateur Nationals
I paid my $25 for the tracks at their time of release because I believe this game offers much more than simply racing against other people online for fame or glory or whatever. I'll admit it, I suck at this game, I've never raced another person and probably never will but I play it to understand the tracks better which makes watching the AMA races more enjoyable than they already are. So if I have to pay to gain access to the tracks prior to the race day (excluding the first three rounds) so be it. People need to appreciate the hard work, skill, and knowledge it takes to create these things week after week.
