Re: 2014 rF MotoOption Supercross presented by Fly Racing
My post was more aimed at the people who were saying that time isn't put in and its like they didn't try, just realize that is very hurtful to the person that put the time in.
Example: "I appreciate what you guys do, but you don't do anything"
I just know at work when someone is assembling or using one of my designs for the first time, I'm a bit sensitive to it, and, if they said stuff like "it's like they didn't even put any time or thought into the design" that would hurt knowing exactly what I put into it. On the other hand if they said it sucks or doesn't work or could be improved, I'm ok with that, but don't question what somebody has into something. I've spent 5 minutes on designs that work great and everybody loves, and I've spent 5 months on things that fail in every way, and on the 5 month failed design if somebody would have told me I didn't try or put in enough effort I would have tore them apart, but they didn't, because that isn't the internet and people have manners in real life in professional environments. Now we did discuss how the design missed, but it was never a question about my effort or commitment, these things just happen and don't work out sometimes.
With anything artisic (in this case tracks, in my case engineering, but could be music, videos, photos, etc) you are REALLY putting yourself out there, and I'm just saying I think it is rude to respond in certain ways. Many of the posts have been FINE in their criticism, but some of them have been rather rude and hurtful rather than constructive. I'm not going to police it, just reminding people that even though we live in an age of internet, doesn't mean manners should go out the window.

Sween, I gotta say I love this track. I think you hit the mark just about everywhere. The only thing I don't like is the traction, but I'm altering my setup to get used to that, so it's all good. This track is really fun, and I find it pretty entertaining to hit the big lines. Thank you!

Seems fine to me, last week 450 was the most stacked it's ever been, and way faster than 250's. I will be moving the legit 250 guys up to PRO when east rolls around, but for now I think it's fineAWood wrote:WE NEED MORE PRO LICENSES. 24 vs 101 is lammeee

Just out of curiosity is there any reason the 450's get 2 qualifying servers but the 250's only get 1? The 250 class has way more people in it so I'm just wondering if another server may open up
Me: "Hoffman your line choice sucks..."
Hoffman: "Bro, you act like my lines are choices!"

It's a huge undertaking to assume the track building responsibility that was essentially perfected over 4 years by jlv. For that, the team deserves much credit.
I felt A1 was near perfect and it would serve as a great template for the rest of the series. Phoenix lacks a little in the rhythm sections as they seem to kick a bit and the transition between the jumps. The whoop shape from A1 was spot on but the spacing maybe a foot too much. And lastly, A1 was a visual beauty.
Moving forward to next week, I think you can take the highlights from both weeks and merge them to a stellar 3rd round track.

Oh, and the other thing I forgot to mention. If I was a track builder I would stick close to my teamspeak/vent crew for feedback and try hard not to set eyes on this thread. If I were a promoter I would try to not read the track bashing posts. It would be hard to do for sure but it's way to easy to get caught up in all of the negative and get ultra frustrated.

I'll forgive you for being confused there m121c. I was pointing out the difficulty creators have in achieving the quality of the track features, even before any stadiums, objects or decals are used. How about going after the people that originally said those things?m121c wrote:...I found Havoc's quote fest to be pretty disrespectful, picking out demeaning quotes out of people posts just to say something that doesn't need to be said is just pointless to me.
Like this? Or was it disrespectful too?m121c wrote:Most of those people quoted gave feedback...
I always appreciate and thank these guys every year since this began so step off.TeamHavocRacing wrote:The A1 environment is gobsmacking, JLV must've gazzed! The sand section is gorgeous. The finish jump is the only abnormal one, I think. The whoops are more approachable, but, too spaced apart? The ground decals are a little plain, I guess. Great job! Coming after JLV's 2013 track's is a real tough act to follow. Kudos to all that made this happen and thank you.

Havoc is a machinist, he knows how to give feedback without crushing someones efforts (unless he doesn't like the person, then he shits on them) At least that's how our machinists work lol

Thank you fellow person named Charles. My efforts are the ones usually being crushed in the inspection room, lol. I'm sorry if anyone else was put off by the quote thingy.

I pretty much loved A1 besides the corners which for some reason I sucked at, so far I'm loving Phoenix and the corners are perfect. The only thing that's messed up which everyone will agree on is that triple single when you hit the middle it's like a wall but the sides are fine.
Re: 2014 rF MotoOption Supercross presented by Fly Racing
just using a logical point of view, tracks do not adapt to riders, riders adapt to the tracks. never see the fast guys whine. they didnt get fast by having the tracks tailored to their liking either. i have kids that never cried as much as some of these babies cryin about tables and what not.
cant get the on/off? its a setup flaw or a technique flaw, lack of talent or lack of testicular fortitude. NOT a track flaw. cant get the whoops? same thing.....track is too slick? same thing. i think the only relevant complaint what so ever should be about the layout itself (when it doesnt match the real life track, which 99% of the time is not the track creators fault) or the visuals. the track itself does not warrant bashing (revisit first sentence).
and for the ones who dont get logic, reflex is prob your best bet.

The only part of the on-off I don't like is the landing. The backside of it seems too steep and short, so you either have to jump completely over it and land flat, or bounce the front wheel off the top of it which causes you to land closer to the berm. For me I need as much stopping room as possible

Is the 07 qualifying laps not counting? Finished my race like 20 minutes ago and it's still not posted. Just wondering.
