Re: Upcoming Skins & Shader Maps
I think the jersey looks too shiny, but the mapping is good, it looks like a vented jersey with the small circles (dots).

Re: Upcoming Skins & Shader Maps
CCM is a British motocrcycle manufacturer. They've been around for ages (1950's I believe?). They now have also joined the GP scene the past 2 seasons with a factory team. They are KTM swingarm and plastics minus front fender (something like a 2004ish Kawi front fender), custom aluminum frame made by CCM to work with the KTM stuff and Yamaha 450 motor (from what I've read up on). The don't make a 250f but that is neither here nor there. No production run has been made of them yet but they have announced they plan on making a small batch and releasing them in the UK (something like 500-100 for 2010 I believe).

Thanks for the feedback everyone.TimFerry15 wrote:I think the jersey looks too shiny, but the mapping is good, it looks like a vented jersey with the small circles (dots).
I don't have the ability to control how "reflective" the jersey is (that is, the strength of the reflection). I can only control how concentrated the reflection is, and what color it is. (that will make sense if you really think about it). I made the jersey more "diffuse" and I think it looks better.
Keep in mind it's a black jersey, which is going to have the most obvious reflections.
Please let me know what you guys think - I really do value the feedback!
Before (leaving all pictures full size and uneditted, sorry if it bugs ya):

After:

Is it still too shiney? I can't decide, I've honestly lost my ability to accurate critique this gear I've been workign on it so long. I just sort of think it all looks good
And now on a black/white jersy - hows this look:

Looks a lot, lot better than in the before pic.
Though it's still a bit too shiny, especially in this pic. But if you can't control the reflection strength, then there's not much you can do.

Those who possess strength have also known adversity.

Yeah that back shot is also what I think ... looks "the worst".

You can control the strength of the reflection. Just use a dimmer color. A black specular map will not reflect at all.Garasaki wrote:I don't have the ability to control how "reflective" the jersey is (that is, the strength of the reflection). It looks great btw.

I like the color scheme of your rider, helmet and bike haha. Everything looks good together, but about the skin, maybe fade out to black on the airbox from the numberplate, i wouldn't leave it all orange. Looking good.

Re: Upcoming Skins & Shader Maps
to me it looks like you have everything except the template, so remember i know where an eventual leak could came from
stick to the real counterpart as much as possible, and to me it looks a little too orange, i'll go a bit towards yellow tones..

About the colors, I found this picture of the graphics and used the color picker to match the colors up.

Re: Upcoming Skins & Shader Maps
Give it that chrome looking pipe like in the one picture, it would look sick.
