Im trying to make the 2015 Rival Seven gear, but i can't get the stripes that go over the shoulder to go straight. They are straight in photoshop but go all crooked in game. If anyone can help me just reply here or PM me.

Thanks

its due the triangulation of the model, to make it work good you will need to edit the model in that area to work just right with your gear

Is there a way of drawing on the model and then exporting a png of the drawing you did so that you know where things need to be when you make the gear properly on the template? I tried making a set of gear a while ago and it frustrated the hell out of me trying to get the design and the different parts of the pants and stuff all in the right place so I gave up.

yeah, its kinda problematic. You can always bake it (pretty much same as baking normal map but you "draw" the design on the rider body and then bake diffuse map. you can "cut" the design on the model and color the cutted polygons...for logos and harder stuff i would take a bitmap project it on the model with simple plane mapping and bake a diffuse again, its a bit more work, but the result should be good if you make it correct.

Theres a 3d plugin for photoshop where you literally draw on the model then open the .png of what you drew and it's the template.

With nationals being right around the corner I figured I better get a start on some new stuff. Bike thus far. Very open to suggestions on what it needs aside from logos.
If I cant get it done in time I'll just release it and use the kit we had for SX.

My photoshop has a 3d tab at the top already, is that it? I remember I imported the rider model into it once with my gear on but can't remember if you could draw on it or not.

I managed to find a photo of it.
