great job!!!!
Re: Upcoming Models #2
Are you using a smoothing modifier that makes the poly edges bend?
Also, are you just doing this model for normal maps?

Re: Upcoming Models #2
Its smooth mesh preview in maya. It will be converted to polys then baked onto a low poly version.Mona wrote:Are you using a smoothing modifier that makes the poly edges bend?

I'm mainly doing this for hard surface practice.

This model seems very well; but attention when you will convert it low poly; you could have deformation on the model

Re: Upcoming Models #2
The part where i said it needs to be less pointy on the shroud still isn't round enough.

Re: Upcoming Models #2
The cutout needs a split where the yellow and black parts of the airbox meet.
Also, the fork guard decal should go further to the top of the fork guard.

Same with the shroud.Mona wrote:The cutout needs a split where the yellow and black parts of the airbox meet.
Looks really good, and the cutout is nice on placement and such. Starting to look better model-wise.
As stevo said, the shrouds are still a bit pointy, but you've improved them a lot.

Re: Upcoming Models #2
Looks way better, just two point on the shroud are pointy. The bottom and the part whre the riders knee would go. I also agree with Mona about the cutout having a space between airbox and numberplate. For graphics those are two sperate peices so make the cutout seperate. Other than those two things I really like the improvement.

Re: Upcoming Models #2
Can we see the other side? Please tell me you didn't just mirror the rear number plate. You must remember, the number plate is flared on the right side (of the bike) to make room for the exhaust silencer. There is no left silencer, so the plate should practically go straight down. Sure, it is flared a little, but way less that the right side.attacker5 wrote:Rmz Update,

Re: Upcoming Models #2
And with that, you must also make sure that the rear wheel clears the silencer. So it definitely matters how far the numberplate "flares" out.
