Is the face model part of the rider or the helmet?

Also, the way that you modeled along the edges of the lining will really be worth it if you add reflections to the helmet.

Good job, and I'm guessing that, overall, it's more accurate than DD's model?

It is part of the rider's body. Not sure how this game handles the bones yet so I'll have to investigate.

That is a given, else I wouldn't have modelled that in.

It is, and about 500 polygons less.

Throw your rider model in game, It would be pretty cool to have the head actually attached to the rider. I'm not totally sure it would work out, though.

The head attached to the rider, probably won't work. The head does some nervous twitching at times being the main reason. Helmet looks sick though john, and It'll be cool to have a better rider model finally in place if you follow through!

Nope, those are generic goggles I based on some goggles I had near me at the time, Progrip's to be exact. Reason I didn't make them a specific brand (and did not include brand specific key pieces) is because I wanted to have option to turn them into any brand you'd like without it looking weird. Also a note; The strap is modeled with strap adjusters, and the strap itself actually runs through them as on a real goggle.

Not sure the rider model the helmet is displayed on will make it into the game, wasn't my first intention at least. Just started the helmet because I was working on a helmet texture for a friend, and well, ended with doing a little more than just a texture. :p

What would be your advice on the neck/head splitting?

That is sweet! You are very talented. As for the rider head on the body, I don't think that will work in this game. Because it seems to me the head moves with the helmet as the body stays straight. So I think the helmet would end up turning around the head.

Sorry to disappoint you; The helmet has about 2 - 3 hours in.
