The helmets are separate. You should be able to use any helmet with this model.

I get an error message every time I try a different helmet that says : cant upload "helmet"

it should say more than that. which helmet are you trying to use? Are you sure you have the correct model for the helmet?

Im trying to use epic's monster helmet, which came out before the new model. But if the helmet is separate then it should work shouldn't it?
I had some problems installing the new rider model too. Got a nasty error message every time, so tried to zip and download over and over and deleted the old rider model. Suddenly it worked, but I dont know why it did..

Download the 1st DDMX rider model, that has the helmet with it

yes now it works.. deleted the old model in frustration cuz the new one would't work.
