You will need to redo alot of those faces. See how the exhaust tip has obvious triangles? Needs to be rectangular, like the main body of that exhaust

Just got the flat skin done, now i have to shade the skin. Because a lot of the object is alpha'd, you can barely or not even see parts of the model.

This shows the whole model, with a black texture. Hopefully it will make my supercross track looks better!

that's a cool idea!
i suggest to use plain textures and no real sponsors and pass it to jlv, ddmx and everyone who's working on the supercross tournament for the upcoming tracks!

I think DD said somewhere that he was going to make one. But he said that when i was about half way done modeling this, so i'm trying to finish it. And if jlv and ddmx actually want it, i'll probably change it a bit, so i can get little details more spot on.

And to the plain texture-no sponsors thing, will the notice message on the main menu of Mx Simulator (when you open it) take care of that, so it won't be an issue?
I'm thinking that the actual sponsor logos won't be covered by this though.. I think it would be pretty cool to get an Mx Simulator design on this though.

I'm not a lawyer, but I think it is most likely legal to use real logos. It isn't a trademark problem because you aren't claiming to be or represent them (unless you say you're sponsored by them or something). It might be a copyright problem for duplicating the logo but that probably falls under fair use.

With that said, is it so important to have the logo that you'd risk a lawsuit over it?

Monster is pretty comfortable with logos being around compared to redbull logos... trust me on that hahah.

I would use community and logos from people that are willing to donate stuff, like we have now.

I wouldn't be surprised by next year or somewhere halfway down companies attempting to have some advertisements with Mx Sim... IF you do it right. Which i think everyone is finally getting on track.

Damn dude, wish I knew you were working on something like this too. I started mine tonight for use by anyone interested in the series. I'm in the process of baking normal maps for it right now. Should be done tomorrow.

I'd love to hear what happened with redbull if you're allowed to talk about it.

I'll have to ask around. At the minimum I should be able to get permission to use some logos.

Pretty much you can buy monster anything. Hats, shirts, graphics, pretty much whatever you want. Red Bull is really strict about where their logo goes. The only people that are supposed to have ANYTHING with Red Bull logo's on it are Red Bull atheletes. Save for a few event t-shirts and such.

I forgot to mention that on KTMtalk.com some guy was providing info on where to get Red Bull graphics and Red Bull sent the admin a letter that pretty much said take it off and don't allow it again or we're gonna sue you.

Just to add, when we were making Gp500 British Superbike MOD, Red Bull didnt allowed us to use theyr logos, we had to make generic ones.
