The resolution of your screen is different. The skins use a "texture" resolution. By changing the texture detail in your graphics settings, its reducing the size of the texture resolution of the skins so that your graphics card doesnt have to store as much in its memory.

This depends on what type of file you have. For .saf files, just move the file to your install folder, which is usually "c:\Program Files\MX Simulator".
For .rar or .7z files, you will first need to decompress the file using WinRAR or 7-Zip. Move the decompressed file or folder to your install folder.

My only problem is that my skins look like crap in game. In the pictures and stuff they look perfect. I have all the necessary stuff downloaded, is there something i need to turn up in the settings?

make sure you graphics settings are as high as they can be until you computer starts to lag...
If not make sure you have all the bike and rider models.
ahhh ive tried everything i can think of and i cant get this fixed so maybe you guys can help me. i used djs 2009 kx250f template and attemted to make the stock monster energy speacial edition and it keeps ending up all blurry in the game i dont know how to fix it here is a screen shot
and here is the template..the temp isnt blurry i dont get it? dont be too harsh on me ive never done this before lol
