ddmx Bike Models and Rider Model - Download

Post by ddmx »

Well, I have decided to release my bike models and my rider model for public use. By pulic use I mean for testing skins and whatnot. I do not think it would be right to download these, make a few changes to the model, and the reupload it saying it was your own. Please be considerate in this manner. I did not have to do this. They will come in handy for renders mainly, and also when building skins. Please use them wisely.

Hey, thanks for releasing these. You are awesome. Would it be okay to use them as the image when releasing skins? Like you did when you released the new rider model? If not, thats okay.

Yes, feel free to do renders with them, that is my main purpose for releasing them. What I would like to not see is people converting them into fmx bikes by just changing the rear fender, or something like that. If someone has plans of that they should contact me first before going through with it.

What about doing a 2 stroke line?

Wilmx and I have been discussing starting the yz 125, and your model base would be a good start.

Which model though? None of the 4-strokes are anything like the yz125

Oh, yeah I know.

I mean, using the base (frame, swingarm, forks), instead of modeling everything from ground up, which would be a little retarded.

I mean, redoing the frame to fit the YZ wouldn't be hard at all, and the Kawi/Honda 2 strokes would nearly fit anyway. It's just for a base to get started from.

I'm not sure what the conflict here would be. I have just imported it into my 3ds 08.

I would not suggest using any of these models for a base of a 125 for the simple reason that you would be changing everything on the bike to fit a 125. I am contemplating beginning a ktm 125 when I am finished with my current projects though.

Yeah, but dimensions and all would be right.

Kind of hard to explain what I mean.

Eh, I'll think about it again tomorrow. It's late.
