Maybe a low-res version?? Between the million peices of grass, and trees, and water, and buildings, it just is too much for my computer...maybe replace the trees with the billboard type trees? Just something to make it easier on the people with less $$$ for their computers
...but I rode all the tracks and they're all fun!! Except the EX part...wayy too challenging! But awesome fun!

OH! MUH! GAWD!
Hands down my new favorite track. Can't stop riding it.
I would say it's your best track but I'm not sure if I've ridden all of your released tracks.
I love how the "Minimx's" are different skill level tracks. It really makes it feel like a real MX Park.
I could ride your enduro trails for hours on end.
P.S. How long until people are wall-riding your billboard in their new videos? Best FMX area ever.

Ran a 2:10 on the main track for anyone who cares. I was also right, this track with erode gets hectic.

Re: Lavanko Public Beta
Very good track. I know "realistic" (when I say realistic im REALLY realistic) tracks are what you like to make, and thats cool, in the end your tracks are a piece of art. They look amazing and for very good riders on this game they could be a breeze. The thing is its so real and percise I feel as if the physics of the game arent ready for it.
With difficult tracks comes rage. If this track was strictly rated on the skill required to make it it would be a really good score. Fun factor is really low. For me thats what determines if I ride a track again. To be fully honest I have never ridden any of your tracks more than once. Actually I can't say that I tried your last supercross one other time but gave up and never thought twice about tring it again.
I guess what I'm trying to get at is try making a fun factor track. Calm down the ruffness, bumps, ruts, and 1:1 scaled jumps. I think with the skills you got for track making you could make a really fun track that alot of people would want to ride all the time and not just "try the challenge" and then forget about it.
As for this track its awesome for a really realistic track. The visuals are crazy good and made it feel as if I was in a real environment and not just decals painted on to the ground. Good job.

Sorry that I was never able to follow through. I got swamped and ended up forgetting about the skins.

Re: Lavanko Public Beta
Sort of. It's not a pure replica by any means, but it is based on the 2009 layout.yamaha#521 wrote:Is this vantaa's track??
The whooped out sections and the table/triple hybrid+table section are made up. All those bits were just bumpy straights IRL, except the rollers/whoops before the finish line turn and jump. That one is a real section.
The minimx and peewee tracks use real layouts, except the second minimx track runs the opposite way to what it really should (my mistake). Fmx area is enhanced from the real one landing + two ramps spot (not sure if it's already been removed from the real track). Supermoto track is imaginary, IRL there's just an empty gravel parking space there. The compound does have a supermoto track in real life, but it's next to the main mx track and doesn't fit on the dispmap.
Enduro and the endurocross and their layouts are made up also, the trail is really a few kilometers away from the main track.
The main mxtrack is the actual "track" bit. Think of all the other stuff as unnecessary details.dionhuybers wrote:2. if you want to make a "compound" with different tracks, you have to remove the timing gates because it is terrible to ride an other track and keep turning in to the main track.
That would be the "problem with skinners" bit I mentioned in the first post.3. Some Objects are white.
4. Some textures are not that good, put a bit more time in it and it is a beast!
The crappy textures are made by me, which shows why I needed help on them in the first place, but out of the 6-7 skinners I asked, who all at first heartily agreed to help me, only four ever replied back to me after getting the track. And out of the four, I ever got actual textures from just three skinners.
This would be the main reason I lost motivation to ever finish the track.
No wonder. Haggqvist's given a ton of input and help on the track.Pumaxcs wrote:The main track is really fun and still had your style of difficulty but i could feel alot of Benkeboda and Sorketorp influence in them.
The enduro, among other things, is not finished. I was planning on taming down the chatter and widen the more high speed straights, plus ride through the trail with erode to get better lines on it. Even if all that would be done already, I still wouldn't recommend trying to ride it with your usual mx setup though. One gripe i do have about that is the chatter through the whole thing. i do agree it needed something or else it would've gotten boring but it made it alot more difficult than it should have. I'm going to try a light smooth brush on it and see how it rides.
That's 'cause it is.I love how the "Minimx's" are different skill level tracks. It really makes it feel like a real MX Park.

Re: Lavanko Public Beta
The only two bigger things I noticed are the white textures and the too high graphics requirements of the track. It makes MXS lag too much even with low settings. So a version with billboard trees, or removed grass or something would be greatly appreciated in the actual release.
No pain, No gain!

i think the tabletop next to the airport should have a lip that kicks you higher, atleast when i did ride the track last time it did kick you really high in the air!

x3. Would be stoked if you released a low res version when you do your final release!hondaman wrote:x10000000000000000000000000000000000Hondarider77f wrote:Maybe a low-res version?? Re: Lavanko Public Beta
They've changed it then. The last time I went to Lavanko, it was high speed, low height jump like it is in the track.Motofinne #375 wrote:i think the tabletop next to the airport should have a lip that kicks you higher, atleast when i did ride the track last time it did kick you really high in the air!
Haha, I should've put out the earlier version which had xfrog pinetree models. Killed my fps in singleplayer even with LODs on.BGnastyy905 wrote:x3. Would be stoked if you released a low res version when you do your final release!
As for a proper low res version, not sure how much changing the grass and tree models to billboards would help since all of those have working LODs already. The terrain resolution is 2049x2049 which makes the track more demanding by default than a lot of other tracks.

Re: Lavanko Public Beta
Shadow i must say for a track that "Just had sitting on hd" it makes me wonder what other gems you have collecting dust on there!
Put it this way these days there are so many good tracks that i do 2 or 3 laps on them and hardly ever go back to.
this one however and a past sx of your are my goto's feel like i need to master them, Not sure if you helped with the nationals or not this yr but if not i really think you should be one of the scrutineers on braking bumps and rut/lines cause your tracks have a very mature flow to them, like you feel it out (can imagine you on your spring loaded swivel chair going through the track in your head bouncing up and down feeling it out. And a dog looking on in bewilderment)
I have a question though. I am super hyped all the time to ride the trail section, But for the life of me cannot get the bike to stay on the line, Please tell me what suspention you are using to get around that trail i know it will be awsome if i can just get the bike to stop pogoing all over the shop. You gotta let ppl know this stuff so they can ride the track like you intended.
