Everyone will use it which means it's totally unnecessary.
They should remove it irl too along with launch control. Everyone uses it and all it does is takes away some skill from the rider.

Re: HOLE SHOT DEVICE
Sorry for the dp but Rayvenator is totally correct, if holeshot devices were added, everybody would use them, meaning there would be no difference if they weren't added at all. The only thing i can see these things doing is allowing the slow people up front early, just to crash, bringing the experienced people with them, and raging out of the servers anyways..Big Smooth one3 wrote:Care to elaborate on that grandiose claim, with actual reasons as to why you think this?Quinten wrote:That may be the most stupid thing I have ever heard someone say.Rayvenator wrote: Whats annoying with not having traction control or holeshot device? Hi
Re: HOLE SHOT DEVICE
Everyone has their own opinions but i think its dumb cause the goon riders have even less vision and they have started making biodegradable tear offs nowBoblob801 wrote:No it's notKenny154 wrote:(It is a stupid idea that they got rid of tear offs)
Re: HOLE SHOT DEVICE
No one uses them and it's not like you can tell. It's like 20% vision difference and it's your peripherals anyway. The majority of tracks are in the country where animals eat everything.Kenny154 wrote:Everyone has their own opinions but i think its dumb cause the goon riders have even less vision and they have started making biodegradable tear offs nowBoblob801 wrote:No it's notKenny154 wrote:(It is a stupid idea that they got rid of tear offs)
Sure everyone has there own opinions on how they like to pollute and kill animals (Cows often get sick from them and can die) (Especially america, holy ocean rubbish dump)

Re: HOLE SHOT DEVICE
On the topic of the holeshot device I've found there is a way to compress both the forks and the shock on the starting line, however you can only compress them by a small amount. It isn't the most refined technique in the world and to be honest I think it makes absolutely no difference what so ever but from what I've seen in this thread it seems like it's the closest thing to a holeshot device that you're going to get.
.Firstly I suggest turning on /togglegraph to watch your suspension data while practising this.
.Sticky Sit Dab will also have to be turned on.
.(This is where it starts to turn crap) While sitting at the gate reverse a little, then gas it it and swing off the front brake lever.
. If you only want to compress the forks that's it, as long as Sticky Sit Dab is on.
The way it works is after you reverse then go forward and brake it compresses the forks, but Sticky Sit Dab will apply both brakes once you've stopped. As the forks compress the wheel base gets slightly shorter, so when you let off the front brake to use the clutch Sticky Sit Dab will hold the brakes while the wheelbase has been shortened slightly therefore locking the forks down to wherever they compressed to.
To get the rear shock to compress is a bit tricky and often doesn't work all that well.
.Hold in the rear brake
.Get on the gas for a second
Sounds simple but often doesn't work well, hopefully once you've let go of the throttle the wheelbase will be shortened even more and Sticky Sit Dab will hold the forks and the shock down.
On the off topic, topic of the tear off ban, screw roll offs they don't work and I've heard a few pros whinging about it now, and I hate cows so much for the -4 IQ that they have.
Anyway I hope that helped you, and if it didn't then I wasted my time.

Re: HOLE SHOT DEVICE
This isn't true at all, compressing the shock allows you to stay more central if not be able to pull back because you don't loop as there is no more movement in the shock. This is why people with high preload struggle to do it. Lower preload = better start.Old EesKay wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2018 6:13 amIt isn't the most refined technique in the world and to be honest I think it makes absolutely no difference
Re: HOLE SHOT DEVICE
honestly ive never heard about or seen anyone actually use the ktm/husq launch control/traction control in the start. my brother tested it himself as it seemed like a cool idea when it came but it actually just bogs ur bike to not spin your wheel which means when you catch grip again your bike is gonna e bogged out and not letting it rev out as fast as it would not using it (decent throttle control without launch/TC lets the bike rev out and find grip itself), just using a holeshot device and letting the rear wheel spin a little when going off the gate actually give more forward momentum than having ur bike bog down and not allow the full potential when you actually catch grip (ofc its different to different people but this is the tests and experiences i know about).Quinten wrote: ↑Tue Mar 28, 2017 7:37 pmThat may be the most stupid thing I have ever heard someone say.Rayvenator wrote:

i also dont see the point of banning holeshot devices, its completely user preferenced and the majority of the racers use it cus it centers and lowers the center of gravity making it easier to control the wheelie getting off the gate. its also like how some people experiment with rear end holeshot devices.
A holeshot device dont make ur chances higher to get a holeshot and some people hate it and cant use it and some people love it. most of the riders like how it makes it easier to lift and control the front wheel just a tiny bit off the ground to make the bike catch grip as fast as possible and make a fast as possible start.
