xbox one controller triggers wont work

My controller has worked perfectly since i first got the game, but yesterday the triggers wont register, and ive tried switching usb ports, and sometimes a trigger will register in the controller settings, but ingame it is stuck wide open and i flip over...
*note that I didnt do anything differently when launching the game, nor did I tweak anything. Because the last time my pc was on was when i was playing mxs without any problems, then I turned it on after school and BAM not working...but it does work fine with other games like mxgp2

Ive tried; reinstalling the game it self, restarting my pc, uninstalling and reinstalling the controller drivers, using a 360 controller (witch had the same problems), and every combination of these steps...
*note (that doing anything drastic like installing a fresh windows or anything like that is out of the question)

And ive tried looking around for a solution, but every solution has to with a config file that I dont have or is a Mac problem.

anyone have a fix for this? pleaseee help haha

Performed the same steps as you and I'm having the same issues. The controller works in other games no problems. Do you by chance has windows 10?

Go in the folder where your demos are safed an find the config file. Edit it with notepad++ or editor, and change this 3 lines:

Just copy and replace this there:
