I just got every object pack, trees, statues and the latest snapshot just to be sure. No dice. Same message.

Do you have any more ideas on this? I've gone through the the files to see if I didn't source something correctly and a couple textures were linked to the wrong track but my buddy was able to connect no problem with a mostly empty sim folder. I went through the .seq files and there are backslashes in the water_norm-repeat.seq file but that doesn't explain why my friend was able to connect but not Havoc. Have you tried connecting and seeing if you have problems getting in?

I checked the files that affect the track hash and I didn't see it referencing anything outside of !!OSX!!. The seq files don't affect the hash.

Havoc, what's the exact size of the !!OSX!!.zip file you're using? Have you tried removing !!OSX!! from the MXS folder and unzipping it again?

The three different ways I could execute it, I tried 3-4 times and then today I went back and did it once more completely from the start and the mystery continues. I love the track but, may miss out this week. I was messing with the editor last week but turned it off. Could it have something to do with me messing around in the properties and target files. Everything else works, which is weird.

What's the exact size of !!OSX!!.zip for you?

Could you load Drainage and type /savetrackinfo in the game, then post the trackinfo file?

What is the hash? Are they supposed to different for everyone or the same? Here is mine:

dir=!!OSX!!
longname=Drainage
firstlap=14
normallap=15
gatecount=22
hash=05c3a0da7e176dd26107f5e189ceef13860007de

It's a checksum for the track. It has to be the same for everyone.

Is "e59637123b9b564d0e688a56ef8294473532e1c7" the hash you get for the original track with the backslashes on Windows?

No way for me to find out anymore, I would be interested for Havoc to send me his and see if it has that hash for me too. So I want to pose the question, we all downloaded it from the same link and have the same file sizes, so what would cause the hashes to be different?

I'm bummed, but not losing sleep over it. Ryan had the same problem with Hurricane Hills when we ran it and jumped through the same hoops with no joy.

If the files are the same the hashes should match. I just checked the original track with the backslashes on Windows and got e59637123b9b564d0e688a56ef8294473532e1c7. So somehow Havoc is running the original track and not the updated one.

Okay that's really weird. I'll repackage the track and send it to him directly tomorrow when I have a chance and hopefully it will work. Really don't want to him to miss out on tomorrow.

I don't think repacking it will help. Somehow he's not overwriting the old track correctly when he unzips it.

When I last spoke to him on the issue I'm pretty sure he told me he isn't overwriting anything, instead outright deleting the old files and placing the new ones in his sim folder. This whole thing is so weird and unless the new link I sent him magically makes it work I don't think we will see him on tonight.

Havoc, could you try "/listfiles !!OSX!!/statues"? Maybe you're unzipping in the wrong place.
