Changes:
- DDMX's stability suggestion (landing damping factor/falloff in the advanced stability menu).
- Display metric units on suspension adjusters.
For the new stability settings, "landing damping factor" is how much "roll damping" is multiplied by when you land. "landing damping falloff" is how long it takes the factor to taper back down to one in seconds.
Windows users: http://mxsimulator.com/snapshots/mx-2009-12-23.exe
Linux users: http://mxsimulator.com/snapshots/mxbin-2009-12-23
Replace mx.exe or mxbin with one of the above files. I'd keep a backup of the originals since these aren't well tested.

Wow. I noticed a good bit of difference. Great suggestion ddmx & nice work jlv. Thanks.
Moto94, go hit the whoop sections of some of the tuffest tracks you have. If you have any sx tracks like ax1, ax2, or houston 2008, you will see that the bike is much more stabile in those sections, yet rides the same most everywhere else. I think I just cut 5 secs off my houston time in 1 test run. This will do wonders for sx racing.

Re: 2009-12-23 snapshot
somehow i can't go under 55 seconds anymore on indy 2008, the bike seems very stiff to me at some points.
Turning becomes harder and then once the terrain is smooth again everything becomes much more loose, i can't get used to it.

Turn the settings down. If you leave the factor always at one it won't change anything.Servatis wrote:somehow i can't go under 55 seconds anymore on indy 2008, the bike seems very stiff to me at some points.

Umm i used the new setting that you put up, the thing that says something like holding on or something cant remember was bit sleepy.
But anyways it was like 0.06 or 0.6 (cant still remember witch one ) and i placed it with a bigger number, will that mean the rider Grips more if i put the number higher or less?
Hard to explain cant go play now but if you did not get that i look again and explain it better.

Re: 2009-12-23 snapshot
Sorry for double post but i got the right things to say now i know what are they called (last post could not remember)
The Advanced Stab. setup menu has the two new things :
Landing Damping fall off 0.06
Landing damping factor ----
I increased the first one to 0.13 and second to 1.15 but i dint really know what do they do?
Like the fall off, is it if you put that low the rider fails more while landing wrong?
And when increasing the fall off the rider will keep on to the bike no matter what?
About the factor, i don't really know what the whole factor means so i leave it be.
Just asking also the setups are now mm and kg, so that means i could just set it up like a real bike and it will act like one...
Sorry to ask this much I'm curious
