In the long run it will be better because you'll understand how a pc works and know what to do when it needs to be fixed, also later on in life you can upgrade it easier.
Re: MXS Twitter
Yeah, very true. I have also watched some videos on building one. It looks very easy to do.Less money, some education, and a computer that will last a while seems pretty good to me.Mbutler183 wrote:MX196 wrote:I might do that, then. I have a lot to think about. Re: MXS Twitter
Staying at the hospital for a few more days... Just found out I have internal bleeding. Yay me. Lol.

Re: MXS Twitter
@zipper63
Looks like they couldn't have made it any worse for you. You slid out just before the only dry patch on the track. That sucks man, highsides are the worst. Hope you're alright.
@motoxlova#1
Just heal up and don't worry about anything other than that. Internal bleeding is bad, but you will be fine and you'll have all kinds of stories to tell your grandchildren.

Re: MXS Twitter
I just built this one online:

GX2-W Silver - Velocity Micro Classic Aluminum Case - Full Sized chassis with side window
Power Supply 850 Watt Velocity Micro® Power Supply - Nvidia® SLI™Certified (+$100.00)
Motherboard Asus® P8P67 LE Intel® P67 based chipset, ATX Motherboard
Processor Intel® Core™i7-2600K processor, quad 3.40GHz cores, 8MB Cache (+$195.00)
CPU Cooling Intel® Certified Heatsink/Fan, Thermal Controlled Variable Speed Fan
DDR3 Memory 4GB DDR3-1333 Dual Channel Memory (2 x 2048mb)
PCX Video 1GB NVIDIA® GeForce GTX 560 Ti, GDDR5, PCI-E 2.0 (+$120.00)
Video Tuning Moderate 3D Video Performance Tuning & Optimization (+$35.00)
TV Tuner None
Monitor None
Audio On-Board Integrated ALC892 8-Channel Audio
Speakers None
Hard Drive 1 1TB 7200rpm 32MB Cache SATA 300 w/NCQ
Hard Drive 2 None
Optical Drive 1 20x DVD+/-RW Dual Layer Burner with LightScribe Labeling Technology, Black
Optical Drive 2 None
Media Reader Integrated 8-in-1 Flash Memory Media Reader
Network Adapter Integrated 10/100/1000MBps Gigabit Ethernet Network Adapter
Network Adapter 2 or WiFi
Adapter
None
WiFi Router None
FireWire 2 Integrated IEEE 1394 FireWire Ports, 1 front & 1 rear
Bluetooth None
Ports 2 Rear USB 3.0, 6 Rear USB 2.0, FireWire, Audio Out/Mic-in, 2 Rear eSATA
Operating System Genuine Microsoft® Windows® 7 Home Premium 64-bit w/ SP1
I don't think I will build one, though. Yeah it's a lower price, but without this:
Quality Assurance Individual custom testing for complete system stability, signed by the system builder and QA inspector
Documentation Owner's Manual and Accessory Pack
Installation None
Warranty** 1 Yr Standard Parts & Labor Ltd Warranty, Lifetime Regular Business Hour Support, 1 Yr Depot Repair
Upgrade Plan Lifetime Upgrade Plan allows you to return your system for maintenance, upgrades, and tuning
I dont think its really worth it. All of that^^ comes with the computer. Thats why the price is higher. And I can also upgrade the computer whenever I want.
Anyone see anything that I can get that will help MXS run better on this computer? I just want this to last a while. Also the one I have built costs $1379 without shipping. You can go here to see all the options that I can get.
Thanks guys.

Re: MXS Twitter
Found this on newegg this morning. Looks pretty good to me, except you'll need a graphics card (I think that's it, but I may have missed something). I think the GTX460's run about 200 bucks.

Is that almost the same as the one I posted up there? And this can run MXS well, correct?wheels1758 wrote:Found this on newegg this morning. Looks pretty good to me, except you'll need a graphics card (I think that's it, but I may have missed something). I think the GTX460's run about 200 bucks.

Sorry for so many questions. I just want to have a good PC that will last me a long time.

Re: MXS Twitter
Looks like it is pretty similar. Except you have to put it together yourself, and it does not come with a graphics card or Operating System. You'll have to ask one of the other nerds on this forum how well this will run MXS, but I'm fairly certain you would experience no issues.MX196 wrote:Is that almost the same as the one I posted up there? Re: MXS Twitter
It should run MXS no problem, grab this graphics card too and you'll be rockin - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814130610
Those specs are quite similar to mine except i have 9gb ram and a smaller hd and an ATI 5870
I can run most tracks max settings with about 5-10 riders

Re: MXS Twitter
Well for not that much more I can get this graphics card: 1GB ATI® Radeon™HD 5850 GDDR5
You guys think that would be overkill? Hopefully this will run Dirt 2 easily aswell. I'm also looking to start buying a lot more games for my PC if I get this. The games are about $20 less then the 360 games. To me, thats a pretty good reason.
I hope one I get this I won't be a noob at this stuff. I appreciate your guys help a bunch.

Re: MXS Twitter
Dirt2 isn't as heavy as it seems, I can run it on my old pc, and it has pretty shitty specs.
