We were let down on Thunder Valley and now Washougal, and I don't want to see it happen again. If nobody is doing it I will do my best to come up with a disp and send it off to whoever is willing to do decals and objects. Let me know if I should get started or not.
Really? Let down. You could start paying people to make you tracks, or you could just build them on your own, or you could just quit your crying and deal with it. #ungratefulpeopleannoyme
Dude, I'm a track maker too. Sure, I don't pump 'em out, and they're not as high quality as the ones some others (including yourself) make. I'm just saying when the community is told they will get a new track for a race and it doesn't happen, it's a big let down. I'm not saying "you guys need to make these tracks for me", I'm saying "you guys said you would make these tracks for the community and you didn't, and I don't want that to happen again, enough that I'm willing to donate my time and effort to working on this track". To me, that's pretty much as far from ungrateful as it gets, I just offered my services so that we can race Pala, in case it's not already being made.

Maybe I was a bit un-clear; I really didn't like the tone of "it was promised or owed to everyone". Real life stuff comes up for some of the creators... the only sure way to guarantee a track will be done, is if you do it yourself. Even if someone else is already making it; it doesn't mean that should stop you. The best version of a track will always rise to the top, but in the case that one version doesn't get finished, at least all hope is not lost.

Juan, if that's an official protest, please PM me when/where/who/ and so forth. Just so it's legit, looks like I know where, when and whatever, but that way it's "documented" or w/e

I watched the section in question before the mechanics area, and decided to penalize anyone who cut there, since I had to watch it all anyway. The guys who cut the stakes but did not jump, either A: went MUCH slower, B: Crashed their face off, or C: only did it once and didn't make much time, so I really only penalized the guys who jumped the corner. No one successfully did the jump without cutting.

Since we had talked about this specific area just moments before the race started, I thought a somewhat severe penalty of 5 seconds per offense sounded good, so that's what I did. It seemed to me like many of the racers were really pushing the boundaries of the track, so I MAY do a random penalty sweep like this again in the next 8 motos we have remaining...so stay on track, within the yellow markers, and so on.

So without further wait, here are the penalties

Moto1
  • Zachkx #100 - 35 second penalty (7th to 11th)
    Jones #221 - 20 second penalty (2nd to 3rd)
Peter #79 - 5 second penalty (no change)
Moto2
  • ??? #17 - 5 second penalty (quit after the first lap anyway)
mxtysen #21 - 20 second penalty (no change)
zachkx #100 - 15 second penalty (no change, because shack also had a penalty)
Shack #371 - 10 second penalty (no change)
    Jones #221 - 15 second penalty (2nd to 3rd)
Peter #79 - 25 second penalty (no change)
The points reflect these changes, and didn't move anyone around, although points are points.
