harsher powerbands on 2 strokes

Post by Corey XL350r »

Dont you think the 125s should have much peakier power ihave ridden a 125 and 250 in real life and the game is nothing like them. the current 125s on the game are more like what the 250 four strokes should be, the 125s should go from peewee 50 to insane monster in a few hundred rpms.

JLV uses Real power data (dyno) for the bikes. It doesn't hit super hard, but at the same time, it isn't flat. I think they have the perfect amount of power for the current tracks (although some will say otherwise). Its just a matter of getting used to them. You cant feel the power propelling you forward in a game, so It's really just traction I think.

Current bikes have like 5HP more than stock bikes would have, something like factory bikes I guess you can say.
And if you want the real deal on a 125, set your "Auto Clutch RPMs" to the lowest, you'll love it.

You can feel the powerband hitting in the rpms when your riding sure, but its not like a rocketship where you'll blast off.

i think the feeling people are always asking for... the "bog", the "hit".... they're part throttle things. The dynos only relate to full throttle pulls.

The thing with real engines, especially carbureted ones, but all engines in general is that they scavenge better, and produce a stronger intake signal in a certain RPM range - ie the power band. at WOT the bikes make a certain power curve, but at 1/2 throttle, it is not mathematically related to the dyno chart, it's got steep and flat spots that feel like a hit or bog. That is why real world FI and ignition maps are 3D. I can't think of a way to model it in game, but I think this is why the bikes all feel electric.

the bog and hit would be insane in the game it could just cut in when you get x rpm and under 3/4 throttle

The only way to model it in game would be to dyno bikes at various throttle openings.
