You definitely want to shift before 10k.

I used an old Dirt Rider shootout for the 250 two stroke numbers except for the 250 SX which uses the numbers posted in that MXA article.

JLV, Im not sure how far off these dyno's are from the ones you used, but This is what I have found so far.

YZ250 (I know it has mods, but it cant be far off stock)

These bikes are like the goldilocks bike. not too much power, but not too little. not too heavy, but not too light.

JLV knows better then all of us, so he would be doing everything correctly. I just think the 250 smokers seem off in this game because you cant ride them like you would IRL.

I agree. They take an acquired riding style to be ridden properly. Not 100% BTW and not lugged around.

I have mine set up for the woods and its soo sick in the low rpms that i dont need to rev it unless im on the track.
