Supercross Idea

This may sound either retarded or smart but I know most of you watch the supercross series going on right now and some of you race in the MXS series. So have you noticed the tracks are all super smooth and not rough. Why not try roughening the track up. Seatle 2011-Smooth on MXS....in real life it had 20 lines everywhere. Just an idea that I'd put out there.

I think they make the MXS tracks smooth just for the sake of racing. People can barly go 20 laps without getting all crazy and taking half the feild out I think adding ruts/bumps would make this 10x worse.

Or 10 times better. If you couldnt cut across the track like a goon then maybe people would learn to not do that and simply follow the lines.

That is assuming people could stay lined up in the ruts. I'd say 9/10 times a goon went through a section he'd get crossrutted if he tried to jump. And if he didn't jump he'd get landed on and people'd be mad at him for that.

People absolutely bash me when I roll the first jump of a section. They're like "get the fuck out of the main line". In real life, riders avoid each other when someone invades their line here it's just "it's my line and you shouldn't be there even if you're in front of me"

But for the series it would be sick cause it would actually take skill for someone to ride in it, im sure on a good night i could qualify for the race and do alright but if you add ruts and roughen the track up like IRL, it'd be hard as riding a 1972 cr125 at thunder valley.

But that'd be more a race of survival than speed. We don't have anywhere near the amount of control ingame as real riders have IRL. We could not handle a roughed up supercross track besides a rut once in a while like the Winter Indoor series had.

After a little bit of practice people would get used to it, think about it, after people ride a roughed up supercross track, they would lay down some unthinkable lap times on a normal track. Just an idea though, it'd be sweet if they try it though for Daytona or Vegas!

Daytona is already too rough for 03, if you made it even rougher/roughed up the regular tracks you'd end up with absolute messes of heat races since you'll end up with a Glen Helen reenactment.

I really don't think anyone but good riders would just get used to it. Plus, I don't see how making your regular Supercross track times better is any reason to rough up the racing tracks for a whole year. I could see if it was a custom track that wasn't a part of the RFG series.
