Craigslist responses

I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

Craigslist responses

Post by Ks446 »

Upon turning 16 I realized that it was time to get rid of my supermini. Even though it still fits me and my scrawny self only weighs 115 lbs. Well I put my '06 Cr85 on Craigslist last month and every response I've recieved has turned out to be soo funny!
First a guy wanted to trade his 02 110 straight up even though my ad said no trades
And another person offered a trade for his chinese quad.

Wait, wait. That dude honestly thought he could pull off a quad for a dirt bike? A dirt bike of any size is worth more than a damn quad! Let alone a chinese piece of garbage.

I was selling my brother's old '97 KX60cc for $800 (sold for 700) and some dude said he'd give me $400 and pick it up next morning. I politely* repied with
"Nice try. I'll sell you my mountain bike for that price though"

I was selling my 09 YZ450 (Feb 2011), and some guy offered me a his 1999 Cr125 that was BAGGED, and an old honda big red 350 3 wheeler. I decided to play the fucker, and Told him it was a deal. Told him to meet me @ One of the Tim Hortins between Where I live, and where he lives. Did I show up? Yep, but not with the bike. I texted him telling him that I would be there in 10 minutes. Little did he know, I was sitting right behind him. He was so mad.

You have to be a pretty big douche to pull something like that. Even if the guy was ignorant, its still pretty messed up.

I had an 03 DR-z 125 sitting in my garage for years and decided to clean it up and get it running again and make a bit of profit off it. Starting price $900.

I had several craigslist replies and awkward phone calls, explaining to them that I was not selling a two stroke race ready dirt bike. I crushed a lot of teenagers dreams.

I love just how unknown to bikes are most American idiots

If I ever see an F or a Z on the name of a dirtbike I automatically think about it being 4-stroke. It's just like watching some number in a car and thinking that it might be the displacement or the power (Ford Mustang 302, A/C Cobra 427, Audi R8 4.2, Ford Mustang GT500, etc)

Was there pictures? I could see someone not know that Suzukis use the letter Z and not F for their four strokes, but if there was pictures so they could see the light reflectors, non-inverted thin forks, and air-cooled engine should give it away that it is not a 2 stroke Motocross race bike. And if those dont do it, then seeing that skinny ass pipe and tennis ball container sized muffler should DEFINITELY give it away.

It's kinda concerning they dont even know the difference between RM/RMZ and DRZ. RM = Race Motocross. DR = Dont Race. And I went over the Z thing.

Great, someone agreeing with me. DRZ has been the name for Suzuki's small/mid-size trail bikes for the last... 20 years?? I remember the DRZ 350

woah, woah, woah... woahwoahwoahwoahwoah. Do NOT associate my name with yours. If everyone that knew Z = Suzuki four stroke was "agreeing with you", then 100% of the people on this site would be agreeing with you. From what I've seen, 0% of this site agrees with you on anything.

It's like instead of reading history books and being educated you just went onto a website of thousands of stereotypes and base your comments off that.

Did I agree with you on the "all those American idiots" part? sure as shit no.

He lived like 20 minutes away from my house. It's not like it was some huge drive. I thought it was funny. Turns out were pretty good friends now, so yes, I have told him and I still joke about it with him.
