MXS Twitter

I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

Should know by the end of the week if I'm going for work. They want me to, but I have a wife and son at home that won't really want me gone for a week the week my wife starts her final semester student teaching.

And Ballsfalsky, if there is a chance of rain at Washougal; run like hell to a track far, far away. Riding Washougal in the mud is un-describable. Imagine the deepest stickiest mud of your life with ruts jerking you each way, pinned to not get stuck as it packs up quickly... then add to it a sheet of ice underneith and you don't have studs in your tires. So now you are revving the shit outta your bike tryin to keep it pinned through the deep stuff and stay on top of the ruts, all the while spinning and skating on a sheet of wet plywood. Oh, and drift out of the main line you may hit where they pushed the mud off, your bike will stop and you won't as you fly over the bars into a mud pit. Then they have to pull out your bike with a dozer because it's so damn sticky and slick 4 guys can't get it out. (not that I'd have experience with that ... looks other way ... okay maybe one time)

One of our local tracks is exactly like this. Same kind of dirt as washougal too. The forecast has cleared up a bit. Less than 5mm on friday, clear with a few clouds on saturday, and then less than 1mm on sunday. It's supposed to be about 90 degrees tomorrow and thursday, so that will dry any of the moisture out of the track (I think :S). I'm still keeping my eye on the weather. If worst come to worse, I will head east to Richland and ride @ horn rapids. I love that track and they've had nothing but sun for the passed few weeks (or so I hear).

You can't see it through all the mud, but Wheels is definitely saying to himself, "FML, FML, FML, I hope I don't do what checkerz talked about!"

Oh, thats what those are for! I thought they were bulletproof moto vests for the racer that is based in Oakland or eastern Europe or something.

In all seriousness, what is it with those vests?

They're filled with air. It's like a bullriding vest.

I want to invent gear that deploys airbags before impact, like the mars rover. That would be some funny shit, seeing a dude bouncing across the track in a huge airbag.

Went out to Starwest today to help my buddy Kyle finish up a Vurb Original Film on Chris Alldredge. I snapped a couple photos while we were out there. Mud Dolphin even made an appearance!
