Nope, I have had tons of crashes with both on and honestly it doesnt make a difference to me. I wear all my protective gear and I forgot I have knee pads that as well. The only thing I'm missing is the butt pad in the pants. My chest protector goes down about about an inch past my belly button, and all the way at the back, then to my elbows on my arms and covers my collarbones.Robert196 wrote:You're kidding, right? You need to be one dumb person to have no shirt when you ride. Oh, and basketball shorts. I mean come on man.
My boots obviously are the same as anyones, my knee pads go halway up the thigh. Like I said a jersey helps nothing for road rash and to be honest 95% of crashes you don't even slide to get road rash.
Yea I'm a total bro. And like I said a thin layer of clothing offers no protection if any in road rash which almost never happens anyways so I'll take the comfort. I wear boots and knee pads that cover more than 80% of my leg. I'm suprised you are so suprised someone doesnt' always wear a jersey and pants. Is this the first time you've heard of this? Most guys riding in July don't...Ih8Hondas wrote:I used to think that back when I was seven years old and a total n00b to riding. Now I know that's what vented gear is for. I ride in 100+ temps in the humid midwest (heat indexes 110+ sometimes) and my Troy Lee GP Air gear is much cooler than a t-shirt and shorts. And a thin layer of clothing between you and the ground in a crash is better than no layer of clothing. Not to mention wearing shorts, you are risking burning the dog shit out of your leg if it touches your exhaust.shawn1331 wrote:...it's too fucking hot...
ATTGATT: All The Gear All The Time. The only time I don't wear all my gear is when we're using our bikes move cattle, which rarely requires anything faster than first gear.
