When I first ride a new track I don't at all get the impression that there's something wrong with it. I do however get the impression that the problem ME. I go "oh damn looks like I won't be holding it wide open in that corner" .... not "holy Fu*K the traction is complete Sh!t" or whatever the case may be. The only problem I see is with the RIDER, nothing else lol. Thanks to everyone who helped create the best national series in mxs !
Agreed 100% I've been playing for about 2 years off and on, heavily for the past 3 months or so, and never do I think it's the tracks problem. Even with some of Red Bud's atrocious v-shaped ruts I didn't look at it as bad design philosophy, mainly because if you adjust, slow down and re-approach how to tackle the obstacle, more often than not you'll find it's completely rideable. This also makes it really fun due to having to change your style to match each track, some tracks you can pin-to-win others you have to ride smooth and steady.
Every track in the national series this year has been mindblowingly fun for me; so thanks to everyone who makes this possible. There are tracks I hated at first (southwick) that after a couple of hours became some of my favs. I think a lot of people don't understand that you can't just jump into a new track and rip it like crazy (well...some people can. fuck those people =P /jealous) However, if you give it time and try new lines, all of a sudden the track will click and you'll be wondering how you didn't see half the different lines that are possible. My best on Steel City so far is 2:15 and that was really riding the line...one of these days imma need to hook up with someone who is pretty fast to give me some pointers on taking it to that next level, as I feel I'm right there.
Again, huge thanks to everyone for providing these tracks for me to geek out over. For all the people hating, I'm sorry y'all can't find the joy the rest of us do in what we're provided for free. =P
