If I can blow up the engine by banging down a bunch of gears I want a tunable slipper clutch also. I think engine wear would be great, but something as simple as over revving it too many times in a certain period would blow. Also, I've never tested this extensively, but I think IRL when you bang down a bunch of gears and dump the clutch the back wheel just hops, and never really gets to spinning so fast as to over rev the engine. I know for sure when you slip the clutch by hand coming into a corner, it will start hopping well before you are even close to over revving the engine.

I think a more accurate clutch and transmission modeling would be a better way to spend time at the moment than adding in engine wear/damage.

i'm not talking about over revving on acceleration, thats not an issue,it's the reverse,DL budds creek A and watch rider #3 you'll see what i think needs addressing.

The overrevving is from rapidly downshifting, while wide open. IRL you wouldn't do that unless you really hate the bike.

I didn't say it was during acceleration either. I know what it is, and my thoughts about more realistic clutch and transmission modeling still stand. Perhaps they should be reworked along with the engine addition of engine wear.

I just went and did some testing in the game and no matter what I do I can't get the rear end to chatter, its like I already have a slipper clutch installed. :D I have auto clutch off, does it matter? What advantage is gained by downshifting while wide open? Is it being used to get the bike revved to the moon and then being able to use the calculated engine brake for 25,000rpm instead of just starting from 12,000 or so? If that's the case you could just not have the game calculate the engine brake strength at anything over 12,000rpm or w/o max is.

seems like the rev limiter is set around 13,500 revs, just forcing the engine to 14,500 revs sounds like the engines ready to jump out the frame, let alone revving it off the dial.

it would be effective, but a little artificial,i prefer the breakdown, that simulates reality

where you set a limit (revs and frequency) to cause a breakdown is a judgement call

Unless you want to spend $50,000 dollars are deliberately blow up a few bikes :P

i still think think something needs to be done about crashing! when you crash i think your rider should FALL OFF, and then have to get back up and run to the bike, and also their should be bike "damage" plastics break, motor wears out etc, i think that the crashing is the most important part about a game lol, and have muddy tracks where you actually get muddy, any who, that and better sounds, i think i would marry mx sim lol

some suggestions, from a new players point of view..

1. LAN play and ability to host own servers. i know it's more than likely comming as it would make sense to have these abilities.. game should have this before making realistic engines etc imo.. get the basics in first then the detailed stuff. :) gameplay is pretty much spot on for the time being. loving it

2. better extreme low speed handling, ie, i crash and now facing opposite from direction i need to go. in real life, i'd pop a quick 180 half donut or somthing and rocket off.. i cant seem to do that in game because the bars want to turn the opposite way.. lol. makes me look like i need training wheels. which i sort of need but you get my drift. maybe an option to have auto dab when stopped on or off and a seperate option for the auto rider turn thing when it tries to correct your facing while picking up the bike.

3. maybe make the default server one with default tracks only so noobs can get straight into the action without being disconnected every time track changes, even add a proper server list. when i first had a blast online i just wanted to play nonstop for a couple hours, like most noobs. but i kept gettin booted on track changes. not fun.

4.easier demo recording, without having to come to forums to figure out how to watch my own demos. easier demoing/watching can help me improve my riding quicker watching and comparing what im doing right and wrong etc. forums for help should be a somewhat last resort.

great games are easy to pick up and hard to master, so yea your menus need some work. and something like picking a bike up and giving it a squirt and flicking it around 180 or doing donuts should not be all that hard to do.

oh and i cant accelerate while holding front brake, i know its on the same side as the throttle but i could do it in real life.. maybe make it so pulling front brake in will stick your throttle as in real life your wrist movement is somewhat limited while pulling front brake. would make doing roosts and gooning better lol. not majorly important, but this is after all a sim.

keep up the great work.

I can't see how demo recording could get any simpler TBH. You obviously go into 'Playback Race', the only part you probably didnt know was that it calls it 'Default'. The only change it needs, it probably chaving the ability to change its name in the game

Also by default make it automatically record because alot of people don't bother to check... (Cough* lazy, but true)

yea your right gordy, seems to be some issue with my xbox controller, wont recognise both triggers pulled at once :? driver issue probably

yea probably too simple imo, i click record race before racing (the easy part) i finish the race, thus overwriting my previous demo. thats the problem there... another trip to the forums to find out where its saving them so i can rename, grr :x so yes please, in game renaming would be superb.

Ammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmen That would be really helpful. I really prefer the handling of the bike with auto dab turned off but not having the "bike picking up correction thingie" on is a dealbreaker for that.

Also, it needs to be easier to save demo's. There should be no arguement of that point. Save as feature either before or after a race would be grand.

This isn't a driver issue I dont believe, but something i've experienced as well.. I used to have my left trigger clutch, and my right trigger gas.. But no deals on that, because the contoller won't let you do both triggers at the same time.. I think its a 360 controller quirk because i can't think of any game on the box where I have used both triggers at the same time..
