That sounded like you dropping a hint. These people should go into organizing free public racing without expecting ANY gratitude and expecting LOTS of bitching. It's the internet, remember? Being realistic about it is the best way to cope. Anything better than you expect is a bonus.

Sorry bros, CoreNetworks shut down the server again. Jon or Stormz, could you help me in assuring there's no rogue scripts on the server via SSH? That's what the support guy wants me to do.

I'm not asking for anything in return for our service, we always knew that we were doing this for "nothing." However, it still stands that when things become increasingly difficult and frustrating, there will be a point where it isn't worth it for us to continue, and we'll just stop doing it. The 2013 Outdoor Nationals will run, that is for sure. Anything beyond that is up in the air, as we'll just have to re-assess if all the work and frustration we put ourselves through every week, only to constantly hear that we aren't doing enough or aren't doing things properly by guys sitting on the bench is worth it still. I've learned to ignore MOST of the banter, and am FAR less reactive to the BS than I used to be, but that doesn't mean I enjoy all of this still...it used to be way funner to be a part of

I have yet to qualify for any race this year but very much appreciate all the work you guys put into running these events and as an fyi I would toss down a "License fee" each year to keep it going.

i can only imagine the BS that you guys go through (i am expected to get the same when i run my series next week with my and blake's sx tracks) but the thing i look at the most..its to look at the good, and tell the bad to F off, who cares about who doesn't like it and who thinks this should be changed, the kids who say thanks and truly appreciate what you do, thats ultimately worth the hard work. and hell...you know how much JON goes through prolly, ive been in servers with him for hours helping him test his scripts and running into issues and doing what i can, somtimes i dont see why he goes through the trouble, ultimately..its to benefit others..and thats why you and jon and anyone else running races does it...atleast..thats why i run races lol..just my 2 cents

Let's hope that doesn't come from all of the childish, petty bickering/protest filing. You might want a deputy to filter all the crap so you can review ACTUAL incidents for ruling. P.S. Thanks to all who come home from work to barely get normal stuff done and run this too.

I don't know how Sween and Jon at Central continue. I see the work they put in and they way they are taken for granted or told constantly how they should do stuff... What sucks worse is when it is guys you respect, the other guys are easy to brush off. And many times, your great ideas might be great but can't happen because only so much time or energy exists for a hobby, and sometimes they've been tossed around and were decided to not be a great plan. There is a time and a place and a way to present things. I'd say it's a cop out to say, "That's what you should expect... blah blah." Making excuses for douchebaggery IS douchbaggery. And also, for every suggestion it seems someone suggests the exact opposite. Protests for example, some suggest, "Just monitor the major stuff and let the other stuff go," while others want "Be super strict and don't put up with anything." It's a tough spot, and ultimately, the pressure is put onto Sween's shoulders to make that decision. Do you think it's enjoyable to have to penalize someone you like, and then hope they don't get pissed or beg you to be bias for them?

Luckily, Wheels is able to continue working on the site but doesn't put up with the bitching. I've pretty much quit, but will help sween and wheels as long as they want to keep doing it because I committed to the site with them, though they don't really need my help anyways.

I wouldn't say the haters caused me to want to quit, but they did take the fun out of it enough that I lost my motivation to push aside other priorities in my life to make time for growing rF. Even if rF shut down tomorrow, I'm proud of what we accomplished and the exposure that was given to MXS. Hopefully it paved the road for a future, whether it's run by rF or MXSCentral, or another site.

I'm glad to still have events to run, it's a lot of fun to race sometimes; but common sense seems so low and decisions so poor that it definitely gets frustrating.

Thanks for the props and mentions guys, we all do our best to get pooped on by the general community. I dont do this for the good of my health. I do this for the sport/game and because I enjoy doing it (unless I am getting constant crap). I too at times feel like rage quitting on the spot (I haven't yet). But it's one of those cases where you chill for 2 mins and get going again. I will be ignore people giving me crap from this point on....

Warning: First time you will be muted, reconnect and you will get banned. Simple.

The people that have lied to me (because of duplicate accounts), or found me on facebook and got abusive were banned from my site.

Chris, you mistook my low expectations as making excuses for ungratefulness. I understand the the perception you have of me, but, don't think for a second that I'm one of the ungrateful ones. If you leave a box of donuts out, don't expect everybody to take just one. I was suggesting a realistic (if cynical) approach.
