Holeshot device?

Post by bc45 »

Hey guys! I was at the shop about 10 minutes ago picking up a few things for my bike, and got the idea of maybe adding holeshot devices for the start on mx sim? Its sort of a stupid idea and obviously not a necessity by any means, but just an idea that maybe jlv can do once he has done a lot of the more important things he is focusing on. You could try and maybe have them "legal" for open classes. I dont know, just a dumb idea that could maybe be done if you think it would be kinda cool.

There's actually already a way to do it, you just have to know the trick. I may be the only one that knows it haha.

Wtf, I thought I posted it, you gas it a bit on the start and and then you lean forward and hold the back up button until your forks compress.

You could also just set your fork springs to 0, then read a setup with regular fork springs over the first jump.

I do it sometimes, I don't know if it helps that much or not.

You're not really allowed to move until the gate drops, though.

Have you been cheating, Nate?

You don't move when you do it, if you just tap the back up button the forks compress but you don't actually back-up.

Not true. I verified with Sween a while back that you are allowed to creep the gate. You just can't move back to get a longer start I believe
