MXS Twitter

I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

Vine all the way! I hate instagram as is and to try and take another app's idea to become more popular is just wrong IMO, also none of my friends have switched over to instagram and I doubt any of them will.

So I'm definitely sticking with vine :)

Go to the bar, plenty of people your age, and I'll bet they're having a good time.

If you really want to keep up with the Ritzlers you'll need to spend a few more bucks here. You won't be disappointed.

LD is better, sorry I wanted JLV to be happy with his graphics.

Registered a team for a 24 hours of LeMons race last night. They claim to pick teams that sound like a good time. So I wrote a 1000 word story about the car and team. It's not really that true. We plan to document all our hard work on the car on twitter, and just be a drunk mess in general. Be sure to follow @friendsofbarney to follow along with the fun.

Here is the essay. And I didn't write the part describing me, that was really typed about me by a friend.
We're going to make our car into a self-propelled camper trailer.

Okay now that were going to be accepted no matter what I'll get started on our concept. Our car is a 1993 Grand-Am and it is going to look like Barney got just hammered drunk at a church picnic one night and made sweet sweet passionate love to a stegosaurus named Glenda and after an ugly break up ended up with a kid named Melvin. Which really brings this story full circle.

Allow me to start from the beginning. You see this car was my younger sisters first car. My parents wanted to surprise her with this cherry, no rust 1993 Pontiac Grand Am (so spoiled, I know...) so they arranged for me to pick the car up at the only slightly sketch used car dealership and drive it home just in time for her 16th birthday party.

Now, and this is going to sound strange, but immediately upon seeing this car it struck me as a Melvin. I don't know why, maybe it was the way the light shined off its highly armor alled interior, or the way the glossy tires caressed the pavement underneath them, but I really fell in love with this car at first sight, err I mean it looked like a Melvin to me.

So it was with great regret that I drove the car to my parents house and my sister took ownership of Melvin. Over the years I was always truly jealous that my parents purchased my sister such a beautiful car as her "starter" car. Obviously much to my chagrin she was involved in a few fender benders and sight seeing expeditions. (off-road excursions)

When the time came that my sister was ready to part ways with Melvin I snapped at the chance to buy him for myself. It was with great pride, and might I say excellent negotiating skills, that I was able to buy this purely marvelous piece of automotive engineering from my sister for $100 and a 30-pack of Busch light, and a night alone with her boyfriend, for her, not me.

Naturally over the next few months I invested far too much money into decking my new car out. Which included; chrome wipers, fuzzy dice, stickers, and custom spray painting. If that ain't bad ass, I don't know what is.

But my efforts to save this piece of automotive history were mostly in vein, there were a few trashy girls along the way that really respected what this car was to me, but most just scoffed at me for driving a nearly 20 year old car. In the fall of 2012, with a rusting exhaust, fading paint and a lot of heat from the fuzz Melvin was forced into retirement, it will always remain one of the saddest days of my life. I see no more fitting way for a final send off for Melvin than to deck him out in a purple and green paint job with spikes across his hood, roof and deck-lid and race him in a 24 hours of LeMons race.

Now onto the team of drivers that I've hand selected to drive Melvin off into the sunset with me. We like to call ourselves the four best friends in the world. Most people would call us rednecks and idiots.

First there is Cody Ciszewski, or Blow my load Chode for short. Chode spends his days managing the service department at a truck shop, and his evenings coming up with creative ways to dispose of his used oil. No matter how he decides to burn this oil its always a good time because he is a redneck, and his lawn mower has a wing. He will no doubt be heard screaming "REEEEOOOOOOOOOO" on raceday and more than likely in the gravel trap once on the track.

Next up is Dylan Ziolkowski, or Slayer for short. The least redneck of the four of us Slayer spends his days trying to live the dream of racing professional motocross. Never spotted without his camouflage Honda hat and a hunting rifle Slayer is no doubt the most aggressive of the group. He also loves screamo music, no coincidence there. Slayer will be found on raceday hanging over the pit wall screaming out go fast secrets to anyone who will listen, or can understand his screaming

Third is Nick Weirzbaski, or Nicky Nick the Vagina Slayer for short. As I type this Nicky Nick is proving his redneck status by lighting a pizza box on fire, and shooting at beer bottles. Nicky Nick is easily the most easy going person I know and loves to ride his bicycle, just like Queen. Nicky Nick the Vagina Slayer will be found snuggling up to any woman in sight on raceday. He just spilled my beer. Once on the track I fully expect Nicky Nick to not even attempt to make a corner with his wheels inline. Nick is all about rally racing and I will be disappointed if I ever see him driving straight around the track.

Next is me, Mark Zeidlerski, or Mark-Mark-Mark the
Nark for short. I spend most of my days selling forklift parts, but in the the night time I like to spend most of my time working on the three thousand two wheeled cycles I own and thinking about my beloved car, Melvin. I will by far the most annoying, mechanical, and loudest of the bunch. Just don't talk smack talk, I stick to my guns and you will never win. On track you can expect me to pull over and tell anyone willing to listen to me about how good I used to be at motorcycle racing.

Long story short, the four of us combined equals the Greatness team in the history of 24 hours of LeMons with a capital G!!!! Biotch!!!!!!

In conclusion we are a group of the most not redneck rednecks you will ever have the pleasure of meeting and getting to race with. Obviously this story is satirical, but we will have a car matching our description, and insurance companies willing, our pit crew will be dressed as Barney the friendly dinosaur. Were really just a group of friends who race motocross but would love the chance to spend a weekend racing cars and getting to have fun with equally fun loving people.

The End.
