Lol August settle down I can hear you smashing your keyboard from here. I don't know why you insist on hating me, but like a third grader, you simply won't listen to anything I say, so I'm at least going to save the MXS community the time of having to read your constant grinding on Josh's lap. And yes, now I am being an ass.
Ben Fransoo, OG.
Re: Upcoming Skins and Shader Maps #2
At least you provide some good entertainment. I will remember to not use triangles and not have things follow a relative direction next time. Not for the customers, for you. <3
August you're still the best fanboy I could ever wish for. #staystrong

Ben, you make alright designs, but you are suuuuch a shitty person. You try to be cute and write with all of these fucking stupid hyperboles that drive everyone mad, and you often allude to your belief that you are the best damn thing that has ever happened to the human race. For years, you have disliked Josh because he is a much better designer than you and recently because he is legitimately successful. We're all jealous of him, but you take the cake. You make the same designs over and over with the same colors that you always use and call Josh's design out for having multiple triangles. You're fucking stupid because the bike looks damn good, kicks yours's ass, and will bring in some good money. I've tried to be cool with you even though I've known since day one that you're an ass, but I don't even want to bother trying anymore. Hopefully you can get somewhere with your designs as it's a cool thing to attain, but people have to be able to speak with you without punching you in the face to give you business.

Re: Upcoming Skins and Shader Maps #2
I completely understand if it's not okay for me posting this PM publicly, but since you were quite disrespectful to a few people, I feel that it's necessary. Maybe the public's opinion will also keep us from blindly taking shots back and forth at each other, too.
I will start off by saying that this was probably another one of my less-than-justified and regrettable posts, but I do stand behind most of what I said and do still agree with myself after reading your message. That said, I appreciate that you took the time to fully interpret what I said. Are you actually a shitty person? Probably not. Do you allude to the fact that you're God's greatest creation? Not on purpose. Do I bring this upon myself? Absolutely.
First, I will say that a) Josh and I have been bros for quite some time and b) he did not endorse this in any way. I definitely want to defend his design work, because I think that most of it deserves a lot more than what you (and some other people in private messages today) have given it. He has a very distinctive style with lots of angles and with incredible overall flow in comparison to each individual component of the design. I personally prefer it to the more minimal and basic design style that you and I have, (see: AnarchArt Motopixels CRF and Adept Minimalist CRF) but that's obviously a very subjective point and wanders into the "wish I had what I can't" concept. Regardless, I like both Josh and his designs a lot, so I am offended when I see a remark like the one you made, and I feel like retaliation is necessary. It probably wasn't.
I will agree that Aaron's design work is good. Aaron is a cool guy and we've gelled pretty well over the past year or so. I will not, however, call his design work any more creative or talented than that of Josh, Gustavo, (he deserves much more credit than you give him, and his work definitely isn't "crap") you, or me. It's simply a different style. A 12 year old with knowledge of the pen tool can do a whole lot, but in no way does the effort of replication match up to the effort of design. I'm sure you know this and will agree that you stretched it a bit too far on that one.
Let's move on to the similarity game:
To be honest, I haven't seen half of this stuff and definitely can't deny that it's all damn good. I really like the first CRF. The logo placement across the airbox and sideplate and the lines going in the same general direction from the shroud to the fender remind me my first Adept bike. The YZF is super clean and looks a lot like something you'd see on a factory or stock Yamaha. The gear definitely looks like something I would wear, and the normal map work looks pretty good and detailed. I definitely see similarities between the last two, but I also assume that they are the same kit with slight modifications for separate bikes. Probably not the best choice for the variety showcase, but they do look nice.
The funniest thing to me is that you used these two KTMs to showcase the variety in Josh's design. To me, it looks like they are the same graphics at two different design stages. It looks like he's modified the bottom one to better fit a client's needs, and although they may not demonstrate the widest variety of design skills, it does show that he would be a good guy to work with.
When it comes to the "same colors that you always use" comment, I'll admit that I was probably in the wrong. I was thinking back to the Terralite days when you made 5 or 6 red and blue CRFs. You did pick your two for me to compare colors between well, as they are on complete opposite spectrums of design, but I will say that they both feature only greyscale and the stock bike color. The RMZ and CRF above both feature red to black gradients as the main facet of design, but that is, of course, something to expect with two designs of the same series.
Josh has done multiple red and yellow Hondas as well as multiple blue and yellow Suzukis. The blue Suzukis seem only natural as I assume that he just likes blue and yellow for himself and his family. The Hondas are both red and yellow. I will say that I make a conscious effort to use different color combos, but that the general consensus among those that I ask for criticism seems to be that a primary color and the color of a bike's plastics look the best overall. I'll admit that this was probably a stupid thing for me to say and was probably driven by rage rather than legitimate thought process. I'll stop pretending that you're the only person that has reused a color combo.
I really can't respond to the last paragraph in any way other than by apologizing for the tone of my previous post. I could have probably said the same thing in a more civilized manner, although I will say that I am glad it brought forth this kind of discussion. I am happy that people like you and your graphics, but I'm sure it's apparent that I don't like you. I'll try to keep away from doing this again, but I'm sure that we all know it will probably happen again.
Sorry I couldn't respond earlier. I went to the movies (Bad Grandpa is a solid 9/10) and read your PM on my phone in the Whataburger line, but didn't have time to respond in full. Here we go.Fransoo773 wrote:So if you're going to make a point, at least don't make it retarded, okay? Please, just put your panties away before they get in a knot so you don't have to bother undoing them once again.
Do, please present some proof of me saying anything along those lines. I've never once said I'm the best at anything. You're making shit up to try a prove a point that doesn't make sense in the first place.KTM57 wrote:You often allude to your belief that you are the best damn thing that has ever happened to the human race.
I don't know what Josh is paying you, but I hope it's pretty good, because you're doing a great job of making it sound like Josh is the "best damn thing that has ever happened to the human race."KTM57 wrote:For years, you have disliked Josh because he is a much better designer than you and recently because he is legitimately successful. The stuff Naupoiss does is real talented design work, Josh's graphics are a bunch of randomly oriented, and less than creatively layer out single toned shapes, that have no relation to each other, and could be closely replicated by a 12 year old who knows how to use the pen tool. You're probably going to blow this off and say "No you're wrong" or try to change it on me and say "Yeah well you suck even more", but you'll probably never actually defend him. You know just as well as I do that Josh's graphics have become barely distinguishable from Gustavo's crap.
I'm literally having to break down sentences because you're so stupid, literally, you're so stupid you have to be disproved multiple times within a single sentence. Congrats.KTM57 wrote:You make the same designs over and over
Please, name 5 similarities between these designs, I dare you.
Seriously, tell me exactly how you've managed to think I do the same designs over and over.
Oh and to disprove you even further, let me show you who really does do the same designs over and over.
[sarcasm]Yeah, those exact same coloured halftones (that don't match anything else in the graphics kit) never ever appear in multiple designs. Those random crooked triangles crammed together also never have been seen on more than one of his designs. [/sarcasm]
Again, what colour similarities do you see here Einstein?KTM57 wrote:with the same colors that you always use
[sarcasm]Black and white? Yeah, because no one ever uses those colours more than once. [/sarcasm]
And once again, not only disproving your point, but countering, WITH YOUR OWN POINT.
You think Josh never uses the same colours?
Breaking news, yellow and red has been used before.
Same goes for Yellow and Blue
Everyone uses the same colour combos more than once, stop being an asshole and pretending I'm the only person that's ever done it.
Yes, to dip shits like you, I am an asshole, but only because you ask for it. My graphics teacher asked me to design the school TV display, did he punch me? No. Does he think I'm an asshole? No. Because I'm not an asshole to people that don't have their heads lodged in their asses. Need more examples? Okay, here you go: My neighbour introduced me to a sign shop owner because he thought I was good enough to start learning how to get the graphics printed. I choose to wait until I'm finished high school to start working, even though the owner was more than happy to help me out. Does he think I'm an asshole? No. Did he bunch me in the face? No. Still not enough? Alright here we go, one more: I've designed graphics for the old JAG motorsports team, designed graphics for Devin Davis' team, designed graphics for my team, and none of them have ended with them hating me. As well, if I'm "suuuuuuch a shitty person", why do I have anyone on my team? I've got a couple riders that have agreed to basically use my graphics and ride as a member of my team until either he stops playing or I stop designing. That kind of agreement doesn't happen to people that are "such shitty people".KTM57 wrote:Hopefully you can get somewhere with your designs as it's a cool thing to attain, but people have to be able to speak with you without punching you in the face to give you business.
Prove all of my points wrong, please, I dare you. Hurt me if you want. Give me your best shot.
