It seems kinda fair but not fair at the same time. From what I understand he is going to have 120 people 3 races with 40 people and they will qualify like normal? So fast guys verse slow guys? Can't you just let them qualify as a pack of 120 then split into divs straight away?? that way its fast against fast, slow against slow.

You must not be smart enough to figure it out.

It's iRacing for MXS.

I'll try again, this is what I have read from you and keep in mind Iracing has been in place for longer then 0 days.

When you first implement this, this is were your problems are or at least I can see room for improvement.

Say 120 people sign up (rough number) you would break that into groups with a max of 40 riders (key number) So just like you would for pro or any other race. The they would have heats and LCQ's for each group. Now heres the problem I see, in group one (obviously rider placement will be random at the start) you could have 2 fast guys and a bunch of spodes, group two, 8 fast guys the rest are shit then group three could be stacked with 26 fast guys. So points will be awarded to each group evenly due to the fact its the start of the season so group one leader gets 40, group 2 leader gets 40 etc etc. Then from there you would take the top 40 in points and place them in Div 1 (or A class) then the next 40 in points and place them in Div 2 (B class) then you get it. So I'm not sure if you have noted the problem but the guy that only scored 20 points in group three shits all over the guy that scored 35 in group one yet the guy from group one is Div one and the guy from group three is in Div 2. So now what you're thinking is will that guy will slowly drift back and the other guy will slowly go forward. I guess this is fine if you hosted some sort of pre series qualifier but thats not the case so all in all the Divisions will be on the piss for the first few rounds but overall it would mess the points for half the riders.

Keep in mind this is what I have gathered from the quotes I seen a page ago.

What I suggest is all 120 qualify like normal, timed qialifying the day before then top 40 go to Div 1 next 40 div 2 etc now like someone said you could just qualify slow then get placed Div 2 and win but then he wouldn't get as many points and would quickly get bumped to Div 1 anyway.

I was there for day 0 in iRacing. They just left the system to sort itself out.

Now I'm too dumb to comprehend your post. We're not even sure that they are keeping points yet... My post about points was wholly theoretical.

Like I said you could just leave it to sort itself out but at the end of the series the points will be a little on the piss. Also I said I was going off what you said due to the fact that on the rf site there really isn't anything to go by so I assumed you knew / had a grasp of there basic idea and thats what I based my issue with but tbh your theory but with a better start seems like it would be the best way to go.

From what I gather, ARS is gonna be like 03 on a "good" day. Racing will be good, but results really don't matter...cause well, it's just 03.
We will try to meet our goal of involving more racers by introducing the brand new Automated Racing System which will run Monday-Wednesday each week and rank participants based on a variety of categories, and will apply points towards series championships based on these rankings, fully Automated through new scripting from raceFACTORY and Josh Vanderhoof
That is all we've released so far, so I don't know where you guys are getting your facts...gotta start somewhere, and we'll probably start of with some issues (thanks for pointing out the painfully obvious boblob, we aren't delusional), but eventually this will be amazing, and as a race/mx sim lover/non fast guy myself, I am super excited for this, and have designed this for myself, the slow average sim racer....Wheels is a BEAST and is doing all the coding by himself with some guidance from JLV, and figuring out how best to implement. Not sure what all he will have ready by Monday, but it is something new, and that in itself is exciting.

I got them from Phat who got them from Iracing based off something he may or may not have gotten from rf?
I don't get the second part, if its that obvious why don't you look into it. I was simply trying to help, I apologize.

So it'll basically be like a less sucky version of 03? I'm down with that. Can I still race my 450 or will ARS be limited to 250s?

That's my point, why are you assuming we haven't thought/looked at that? Oh that's right, cause you like to try and be a know it all....all the time. Carry on.

I just assumed that you would said "oh no we took that into account". I'm not sure if you read the past few pages but I have ask several times what it was to which the only person to answer was Phat. If you don't like people making assumptions maybe you should actually try telling them what is going..... I don't see why you had to be a dick about this, not once have I said a bad word about you, it's not like you're to blame for people making assumptions by drip feeding them knowledge.

just my opinion but i believe the plan was (and its in plain, comprehensible text on the rF website) that more info about the subject will be in the new rF rule book, that is not out yet. so i'd say he is being a dick about it because you are making assumptions about the failure of the product before it has even come out yet. but back to the source of the problem here, you want answers............the answers are on the way via the rule book. you just have to wait like the rest of us.

Did I make assumptions of failure or did I try to help by pointing out an issue and trying to solve it???
Did I, at any point in time say his idea was going to fail or did I say

I apologize if you took this the wrong way.
Also as I said earlier is might not be wise to drip feed information like this because clearly people freak out, actually why am I getting told off there's at least 10 guys bagging on this and I provide a solution to an issue I see and bam I'm a know it all.... all the time.
