2014 AMA Supercross Discussion

I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

Because Villopoto has never beaten Stewart straight up before.

I wouldn't go so far to say that Villopoto could never beat Stewie on a good night. Like who said it was the best Poto? He's most likely in protection mode for the title, he might still be sick (doubt it), etc. While he did get beat straight up in STL, I still don't think its fair to put out a statement that bold.

It would have been awesome if those two were very close to each other in points and battling for a championship.

He hasn't beat him straight up when he has been fully healthy and not crashed. I can't think of a single race that when Stewart was healthy and didn't fall that Poto actually beat him. Most people fail to realize that years 2010-2013 Stewart has been injury plagued pretty good, this is the first year he has been fully healthy all year and it has showed big time. I personally can't wait for outdoors, with Stewart in this good of shape and form, I think he could win it. We are talking about the only guy to ever battle RC head on for a whole moto in the outdoors and actually come out on top once in a while, something no one else could ever do. I think he has a legit shot this year, if he stays out of trouble.

To say Villopoto has never beaten Stewart straight up is ridiculous. Stewart doesn't always ride as fast as he has the past two rounds. He always has stand out races that he just destroys everyone, but for every race like that, he has 5 races where he quietly finishes on the podium.

Bullshit. There have been plenty of times when Poto has beaten Stew, straight up, even this year. To say he hasn't ever done it before is just crazy.

The only 2 times I can think of this year that Poto has beat Stewart when neither of them have gone down and both kept it up are phoenix and Oakland. Phoenix he was sick and got 4th and Oakland he got a horrible start and finished second, still only 3 sec behind. So I might have been wrong about never, but not to damn often.

CMV has a point. Stewart would have the red plate if it wasn't for that awkward kick at Atlanta and the pipe at Daytona.

No one was catching Poto at Phoenix, and no once was catching Stew at Toronto. Everyone has good days and bad days. They are both fast, and although i am a Poto fan i can say that he did not have it last night.

Stewart has to go balls out and reel off race wins, Villopoto does not. Stew has the sx talent more so than anyone else to ever sit on a bike, But he has not been winning championships. 10/10 people would want a championship more then a race win. Debate it all you want, Poto stayed healthy, stayed on two wheels, and he will be beating a record james will never touch.....

Wow that post is a mess. Wish I could edit it.

I was trying to tell Matt James to pull RVs weiner out of his mouth and he was starting to sound a lot like mini. I'm not really too sure what I actually said there.

The real problem is that there are too many fanboys on here who have a huge man crush on RV and will try to say he is unbeatable no matter how many times Stewart whoops him.
