I just learned how to use HDRI maps, but how do I make it look like the bike is on the ground instead of magically floating in the air?

Re: Post your render for MXS here!
you should not use the hdri map as a background as it limist your possibilities. I use hdri to light the sceene and for reflections. Instead of using hdri as background I render with transparent background and add an image later in photoshop. Using a background in blender works fine too.John23 wrote:how do I make it look like the bike is on the ground instead of magically floating in the air?
About the shadow part. It's a bit tricky you have to render a separate render layer with just the shadow. here is a tururial where he shows one way of doing it but there is no "correct" way of doing it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D6RlGQtYsZU
