Starting this next am round. A minimum lap time will be required to race. This means even if less than 35 show up, if you do not meet the minimum lap time you cannot race. The minimum lap time will require someone to be within 25 seconds of the fastest qualifying lap.

sooo i know there is a lot of problems with lappers but what do you do when it comes to the race host? completly going across to the fast line then sliding into the second place rider... why wouldnt he have just stayed to the right when the blue flag showed up?

Am's Round 4

Like I posted above assuming it is passed with the other admins, a minimum lap time requirement will be enforced for the remainder of the series. The official statement on the matter will be posted on here before the next round. (I mean to say that there would be a vote between the admins to create the requirement above, although it sounds like I just stated it was fact.)

I've already contacted Chris about it before you even posted. I'm aware when I make mistakes as well, not sure if I had missed a timing gate before hand but the blue flag didn't show up until right before I slid into him. Regardless I was still at fault in the incident. Since I am the race host I generally go out of my way to be a good lapper for the leaders, just a mistake on my part by not realizing how close he was.

But I'm just the admin who hosts, there's 5 others that would handle the vote on whether I'd get penalized if Chris was to protest.

Referring to the series is over because you think you won't meet the required lap time if the rule is passed?

If not then no, there is still 2 rounds. Keep in mind while the lap time requirement will be the general rule if passed. If you have shown to be an exceptional lapper in the rounds you have raced, you may still be let in. It'll be a rule with a tiny bit of bend allowed.

Yeah, there's 6 admins and we all have equal power. We just have different duties and mine is primarily hosting. We all vote on penalties, so it's not just 1 person making the calls. And if one of the admins is protested then the admin protested isn't allowed to vote and the other 5 make the decision. And generally we reach out for outside opinions as well if it's an admin being protested.

With a tiny bit of bend allowed? Does this mean it's playing favorites? or Friendzies? If theres a time limit I feel it needs to be upheld rather than heres a limit to prevent anyone who we don't want to race. See what I'm saying? because it sounds like, and im not saying it is, this race will be for all qualifiers and our friends who wanna race too. I'm not bitching or anything, if your going to make a limit, be fair about it.

Well if you consider letting those that are .5 outside of within the requirement playing favorites then I suppose. That's what the general bend will apply to. (Riders that miss out on the required lap times by a very small sliver of time.) Just disregard the previous statement about letting people even well over the required lap time race, I was posting while the rule/idea was still being developed so it's evolved a bit. The full rule and explanation will be posted when sign ups for round 5 are posted.

How I would handle that is that the tiny bend would be allowed if:
1. No protests have been filed against you as a lapper.
2. You can with video (of gif) prove on multiple occasions show that you have pulled over to the side and let leaders by nicely.

That's just my 2 cents.

Yeah that sounds sweet. I hadn't read any of that till now and just thought it was a 4 round series is all, so it was a premature thanks but thanks non the less.
