No. You open up a port in the router, and then tell it to forward the incoming traffic of that port, to your pc where the server is.
Here's how it looks on my router. Your router will most likely look different, with a different interface.

Max clients to ride at the same time is 40, right? Would be cool to have it set to 100, for a beach race or something

"maxclients" sets the number of people who can connect to the server. "maxplayers" sets the number of people who can actually be in the race. The limit is 160. I'd expect it to be fairly laggy with that many players.

I dont know if this sounds retarded but when i go C:\Users\MyUserName\ there is no app data so i have to go C:\programfiles/mx sim/ and its not there, not sure if they are the same thing new at this.

Re: mxserver-2014-02-21-1221
Quick question- I got a new asus router a few weeks ago and set up my http and ftp ports and they work fine however my sim port only works if I add the port number behind the address in game and I cant connect to my ts server at all. Is there some settings I need to change in the router? This new one is a lot more complicated than my old netgear and I cant remember If I had to change anything on it. I checked port 19803 and 9987 on canyouseeme.org and it said they timed out when both sim and ts servers were running.
