Changing shadow blur to optimal from quality fixed the shadows. It seems like any AA setting that uses supersampling causes the weird mirror bubble too.
Also changed my seat position to 50/-180 (all the way up and back). Allows me to actually see what's coming up, but makes the mirrors useless.
