As long as you are setup for your membership within 48 hours of Round 1 (by May 24th), we will be sure that you are processed for the first race. The 7 days is a maximum to ensure that if we only go through memberships once a week once the season starts that no one is confused/upset why their entry wasn't processed. We are manually doing this for the time being, so setting expectations on time frames down a bit.
For those who have already sent in your memberships, thank you for your confidence and support. We knew this would be a big change and not everyone would be immediately stoked, but I can promise that for the longevity of organized racing it was a must. We are committed to continuing to raise the level of our racing series.
For those asking about payouts versus gift cards and what not... You are donating to the time of those involved with putting together this series. This is still not a business for any of us (if time is money, we're all still going to be SERIOUSLY in the red). You are donating to continue the series, as without this system in place there would be no national series at all, no track updates, no events, no website, no streaming, no prizes at all. You are getting the racing events, that's your payment. It includes ensuring fresh tracks are available and an opportunity to win prizes as well. Which by the way, the level of prizing is unmatched. While you compare it to pro racing, I'd rather compare it to amateur racing where you pay an entry fee and a gate fee for a chance to earn a $2 plastic trophy. This is all without mentioning the legal web you get into if you start paying actual money for gaming as a prize... I don't know the specifics and don't make nearly enough from this to hire a lawyer to look into it.

Feel like I'm paying a fee for a REAL race not a game.

Sorry if this is mentioned somewhere, but will there be a verification email sent back to all of us that sent our money in just so that we know we're in and you have received out stuff?

Kidding. I have to process all the licenses (by the end of the weekend) and we can verify everything is good. I will post when I have gone through the initial batch and we can sort out any issues.

Who said there isn't going to be any riders? You act like no one is paying for this.skyzen wrote:Without riders, there is no race.checkerz wrote:. I just donated even though I wont be around for the whole series as I am having a baby girl coming in a few weeks. It will be worth it when I can make the races.
My only complaint is... next time maybe a little bit more of a notice as it seemed like it came out of no where.
I am excited and the tracks look like the best one yet! Good looking out staff.
