This update will patch version 1.12 up to version 1.13. This is for the full version, not the demo version.
Windows users:
mxsimulator-1_13-update.exe
Linux users (untar this in your install directory):
mxsimulator-1_13-linux-x86-update.tar.gz
Changes since 1.12:
Added initial Javascript scripting support.
Erode/terrain deformation optimization.
Bug fixes and optimizations.
The client version is now 40. So if you run a server you'll have to use --min-version 40 to require this version.

Should the download say 1.12? or is it supposed to be 1.13

You probably have the program open while you're trying to replace it. Make sure Sim is closed before updating

Not sure why that would happen. Shouldn't be a permission problem since the installer runs as administrator. Might be a from it being busy like Brenden suggested. Can you delete mx.exe in file explorer?

You can run this download from your downloads folder and it will update your existing mx.exe in C:\Program Files (x86)\MX Simulator or wherever you specify. I confused it for a snapshot and replaced my mx.exe.

It's an installer. Just run it.

Update to this now. Whenever a new snapshot comes along, then go for that one.
